So my ex husband has 2 accounts.

When I left I changed the passwords to the accounts but he took them back.

Sooo I was a bit unhappy.

I have:

The login
The secret question
The Original Phone number on the account

he has changed the email addresses and passwords.

Anyone have any ideas on how I could get these two accounts back?

Other than putting a keylogger on his PC? :-) I dont have that kind of access anymore.

Whose name are the accounts in? His, or yours?

If they're in yours, you can simply call in, tell them the situation / say you think your account was compromised and they'll send you a retrieval form, which you fill out and fax in.

However, if they're in his names, stop being a greedy bitch and trying to steal his accounts!

I would have already called Blizz if they were.

AND I am doubly pissed because I was dumb and didn't pay attention to one of my own accounts. He changed the email address on me while I was at work, changed the password. Sold it to a farmer.

I still see the toon in Terokkar farming herbs and mining.

Well, you could get the emails changed back to yours, but it would of course only be temporary until he gets it back.

Well what you can do is have a male friend call into blizzard and claim to be your exhusband. He tells them the First and Last name of your husband. They ask what you for email (tell them your email) and they will ask what you want done. He tells them that he wants the email changed because he no longer has access to the email. They ask the secret question, have your friend answer with the right answer. They ask what you want it changed to, tell them you want it in your email (just give them your email). They might ask why and just tell them you no longer have access to the email account. There you go you have the account in your email. Now just go to the password retreival, do that and you have the password. Now make a new account with same last name with BC enabled and xfer the characters off onto that account and ban his old account. There you will have the characters and he won't.

There is a trick that many people do called "recalling" accounts. You only need the first name, last name, SQA, and username to do that.

What is normally done is when the Billing representative asks for your name, you give the first and last name on the account.

The problem here is that you're not male, and if you call up and say "yes I'm John Smith" or whatever, there'll be some problems.

What could be done, though, is to give all of this info to someone you trust (a male), and they can recall the account for you.

Be sure that it is someone you can trust incredibly well, because if you give them this info, they can take the account for themselves.

I bought both accounts so at most all I have is the first name


Although I DO have both email thread from purchasing these and I could possibly send them both sob story emails and ask for the original addresses and the full names........

does anyone know if I have someone call posing as the original owner and they say HEY my account got hacked will they ask for your mailing address?

Or just First and Last name , account name and secret question?

Nope,You gotta call them. Blizz won't accpt change in emails cause anybody could do it.

1st Yes they will ask you first and last,Email address and CD-KEY (only if your unlucky). You need a reason why you got hacked (lie)

I can have someone call them thats not an issue.

I looked at my email threads. Both included their full names.

So when I call does anyone know will I need the original billing address too?

If I do I will have to try and email the account holders and see if they respond.


If not I now have:

Full names on both accounts

Account names

Secret Questions

Original Phone numbers for both accounts.

OH NOES! I got hacked! Help~

They provide the info and a new email address to route to?

The only thing you will need to recall the accounts will be:
First and Last Name (on the account)
Account Names
Secret Question Answer
Your E-mail Address
A Male Friend (that you trust and is willing to do this for you)

I advise you NOT to mention ANYTHING about being hacked. Billing and Support WILL send it into the administration team and they will lock the accounts until someone presents them with some form of identification with the account holder's name on it.

Blizzard: Hello my name is xxxxxx can I have your first and last name please?

You: (Give them the first and last name on the account)

Blizzard: Okay, xxxxxx, can I have your e-mail address please?

You: (Give them YOUR email)

Blizzard: Alright, what can I do for you today?

You: I no longer have access to my old email account and I would like to change it please.

Blizzard: What is the account name?

You: (Give them the account name, but only give them one, call them back later or on another day for the other account)

Blizzard: Okay I'm going to need you to verify who you are. I'm going to ask you your secret question. (They make some clicking sounds and ask you the secret question associated with the account)

You: (Give them the answer to the secret question)

Blizzard: Ok and what did you want your e-mail set to?

You: (Give them your email again)

Blizzard: Is that all I can do for you today?

You: Yes, thank you, goodbye.

Blizzard: Goodbye
