Reputation: 373 Level up: 50%, 553 Points needed | | | What YOU need to get account info changed Here's a little guide to help you easily and successfully claim a scammed account as your own. I see this a lot from beginner scammers: "I scammed an account! How can I change the info on the account to what I want?" Here are the minimum pieces of information needed: - First & last name on account
- Account log-in name
- SQ/A
- Phone number on account (not necessary, but helps a lot) 1). Now, when you call Blizz, they always ask for your name. Tell them the name that's on the account or else you will not be able to get the account info changed. Example: If the name on the account it Joe Smith, tell the Blizzard representative your name is Joe Smith. 2). Next, your phone number will be asked for. If you have the phone number that's on the account, tell the representative the number. However, if you don't have the number on the account, that's ok. Just make sure when you do give them a phone number that it's not one that's on another account. 3). All you will need to do is tell the representative you no longer have access to the email that is on the account and you need it changed. Give them the information they ask for (They usually ask for the name on the account, or the account log-in name first. SQ/A is last). After your got the email changed, you can safely change the password to whatever you wish
4). The account is now yours to do whatever you want with, grats! Note: It is not required you have the cd key(s) to get account info changed. If you have them, great; if not, no biggie. Here the number needed to call for those of you who can't find it (added due to request) 1-800-592-5499
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask and I'll be glad to help.

Thank you for teaching us how to recall an account, Loveshock!
I'm sorry if I sound like a dick, but this information is all over the place.
When they say "what's your phone number", they always mean the phone number that they're calling from, not the one on the account. |

You tell them the telephone number on the account so you have a better chance of recalling an account that isn't even yours in the first place. If you tell the representative a phone number that doesn't match the one on the account, much less even have the same area code, they're gunna think something's up. |

they check to see if your number matches the phone number on the account.
if they didnt which you seem to claim, what the hell do you think the purpose of asking for your number is.
the end.

the end. | Wrong, if you called Blizz and say my number is the same as the scammed account and it clearly ISN'T they are gonna think something is up and they are gonna flag your account. Edit: And how do you know in the first place. All you have done is leach, leach leach. |

You've been here since October of '06 and have amassed a whopping 19 rep.
And no, they don't flag your account for goodness sake. That is the dumbest thing I've heard. |

lol @ you to
they have no idea the phone number your calling from. so when you say the number, there not going to compare with with a supposed "caller id" if they did that and you told them a different number than what your calling from, they would probably not even begin to help you.
like i said before.....think about why they even ask you for the phone number. its to compare it with the accounts phone number.
