Its not what we 'call it'. Those are the actual strings stored in the client. You can dump them out in an automated fashion.
Also, the way you're doing it is totally retarded. Just use the "UNIT_FIELDS" (as you have dubbed them). Its about a million times faster than using a memory reader and hardcoded offsets.
eg. Hit Points: UNIT_FIELD_HEALTH.
Power type: UNIT_FIELD_BYTES_0 ((Field>>24)&0xFF)
Power: UNIT_FIELD_POWER2 or UNIT_FIELD_POWER1 depending on the type.
etc.
EDIT:
Pointers to the descriptor arrays are available in the MirrorInitialize function. Address for v3.0.3 is 0x004873F0
Where do I begin? /facepalm
1. its = possessive, it's = conjuction
2. Using RPM/WPM is fine for out of process, saying it's retarded shows how little you think.
3. Claiming I was the one who dubbed it "UNIT_FIELDS" then turning around and showing that Blizzard uses the UNIT_FIELD naming convention in its client's strings makes you sound like an idiot.

He never said he was in process...

Still Cypher is a flaming kid. And its partly funny but annoying if he does not help but just turns whole threads in a "oh ahahahahaha, he is so stupid. we are better.".
Whatever...

Oh no I missed an apostrophe!
I didn't say RPM/WPM is retarded, I said using hardcoded offsets like 0x1030 is stupid when there are constants embedded in the client that can be updated in an automated fashion when resolved at runtime. Obviously you're confusing the term 'memory reader' with the APIs that provide out of process memory reading capabilities. I was NOT talking about the APIs, but rather memory reading tools which you seem to be using to update your hardcoded offsets across patches.
Sigh, you're a really poor reader aren't you? I was pointing out that because you were using a 'different naming convention' you obviously didn't even realize the strings were embedded in the client which shows how little you know.
How about before YOU reply you do the following:
1. Thorougly read what you're replying too before trying to pick up on a missed apostrophe, because you're obviously too retarded to take in the bigger picture on first read and completely miss the point in the process of jumping on minute errors (probably because you've got no other decent arguments).
2. Think of something to contribute to the community rather than just complaining about those who do.

That makes no sense at all....
Run along and go play with your model edits. (The ones people like Kynox and I make possible.... *cough*)

It made sense and btw: I quit those great model edits years ago. And actually am able to run them without asking you for help or your fixes.
You do realize that there are others who are familiar with C, ASM, reverse engineering etc who don't post on these forums, eh?
I'm quite aware of that as I'm friends with many people who fit that description. Notice I said "people like", you're still not doing it yourself (note: copy-pasting offsets doesn't count). Is there some kind of virus going around infecting people with retardation and causing an inability to read?
So if you quite your "great model edits" what are you doing now? Just come here to join in with the other retard and complain about the people who are contributing(and join the ranks of those who don't)?
PS.
And its partly funny but annoying if he does not help but just turns whole threads in a "oh ahahahahaha, he is so stupid. we are better.".
Reread that sentence, it doesn't make sense. (Unless of course you're one of the aforementioned people with a severe mental impairment at which point I can see how that would look fine to you)

From what I've seen so far I can't say that Cypher flamed anyone who asked resonable questions in an understandable fashion.
He'll only flame you if you said something very stupid or in very rare cases he'll flame you just for fun in a not too serious way.
And I've got the feeling you didn't even care to read what Cypher and Shynd were complaining about, you're comments in this part of the forum are misplaced, you claim that you've got an Idea about the hole topic but you don't help those idiots who opened countless posts in here either, nor tried to.
Now tell me, why did you join this discusion anyway?

Troll?
Although it may seem all Cypher ever does is contribute and flame innocent nooblings (me included) into depression, if you look deep within the realms of the Memory Editing forum, Xarg0 is infact correct, you will see certain [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Its obvious you're well above the level of the moron in that other thread and the fact that you've been able to jump into IDA and do some research on your own makes me more than happy to give you a hand.
In conclusion, if you do some reading, gain an basic understanding of the concepts, and don't ask question that have already been answered, you won't be flamed.
Cypher will help anyone who DOES NOT post a stupid question. If you read some of his other posts, they can be informative and helpful, while some can be random flames that give many of us a good laugh.
Other than saying, that i have no reason to be here
