Regarding resurrection process when dead - 05-31-2008

ok so i am getting closer to getting the waypoint and auto moving system going. i had some questions.

if health reaches 0 then obviously we are dead.

however, is there an address or FLAG in a STRUCT that identifies when the PLAYER (you) is dead?


also, more importantly, how is the X,Y,Z of the PLAYER corpse stored (which STRUCT or ADDRESSES?) so that once you are in graveyard you can get back to your corpse?

my plan is to set-up waypoints starting at the graveyard (waypoints 1,2,3,etc.) and then make a loop of waypoints that comes back to a certain waypoint. for instance waypoints 1-10 get you to the loop area and then 11 - 100 are the loop that the PLAYER automatically walks in. if he dies after waypoint 55 has been completed, then the bot will walk you from graveyard to waypoint 55 going through 1-55 first and then at 55 it would need to be able to walk up to the corpse and then rez.

how can i find the PLAYER corpse X,Y,Z while i am dead and also is there a DEAD FLAG or ADDRESS which holds the dead stuff for the player-

After that player is ghost if health value == 1

great info!

how then do i find the x,y,z, of my corpse so i can direct the bot (as a spirit) to the corpse of my body (which is represented on map as a gravestone)

When your health == 0, save your current x,y,z to variables, then waypoint to those points until distance to that point <= 30 yards and no enemy is within 20 yards (randomly walk around until #2 is true).

Your corpse is in the object list (the one from the TLS).

you can use "/script RepopMe()" to click the release button, then do "/script RetrieveCorpse()" when you're within 30 yards. these are functions built into the game so you dont have to worry about calculating where the buttons to click are based on the current resolution.

like shynd said, when health==0, save current loc as a waypoint, then do the Repop and set that waypoint as your target. much easier to have your bot killing mobs low enough that you dont have as much risk of dying :-p

on topic, does anyone have good code/example for using mob locs to set objects of avoidance but continue to follow a path
