Common Sense Way To Get Rep I will be going over each section so you can decide which section you would be best in to contribute to!
WOW General
Items & Quests Discussion

Are you the master of Maths, or just very very knowing when it comes to items in WoW?
Are you always the first to know when new items are introduced to the game?
Do you know what items are the best for what classes with what specs and so on?
- If so, the Items & Quests Discussion is for you. Hop in there immediately and make a guide on how to obtain the best pre-raid gear if you are a newly dinged frost mage for example. Or let ppl know why the stats of exactly this enchant are way better then the enchants normally used. Ofcourse always back your theories up with sources or your own maths.
Also, if you happen to know anything special regarding quests, this is the forum for you. Tell people what quests they should do to go from lvl 45-55 as fast as possible for example, or let folks know how to do different very difficult quests. You could even write a guide on how to get attuned to the daily quests for example. Where to go, and what to do.

Are you the legendary flagcarrier of WSG or the only one standing alone facing a whole army of hordes defending in AV, just because you know exactly the right place to own from?
Do you know all the pro tricks and all the classes' disadvantages?
Are you in a high-rated arena team, and willing to share your secrets?
- If so, PvP & Battlegrounds might be the place for you to gain your first +rep. Make a movie for example, showing how to use the environment while PvPing, or write a guide on how to beat different classes being a particular class. Tell the community how they should work with their premades to cut through the enemy in BGs like they were hot butter!

Instances & Raiding [Discuss Instances & Raiding in World of Warcraft here.]
Have you had BT on farm for a couple of months now?
Have you never sat food in a BG, but istead focused on becomming all-knowing-and-high-skilled in endgame raid instances?
Do you know the strategies for every single boss out there or are you just in knowledge of some cool stuff regarding instances or raiding?
- If so, the Instances & Raiding forum might be your key to unlock the leecher status. Post guides on how to gain small advantages in bossfights. Show a video of your guild 10manning maggy, or write a guide (maybe with pictures or a movie) on how to power farm an instance with your friends, how to avoid several annoying trashmobs or how to boost your raid DMG being a rogue i.e. - You could also teach others how to run a raid, setup groups and handle strategies in different instances.

UI & Macro Discussions [Talk about User Interface upgrades and World of Warcraft Macros here.]
Have you single handed put together a master piece of an UI?
Do you browse the UI sites everyday, and are you always the first person to know when a new awesome looking ui is being released?
Are you pro at making macros?
do you simply just know how to get your DPS or healing going skyhigh using a specific macro?
Or do you know how to make your gaming experience better with UIs?
- If so, this might where your first repcookie is to be eaten. Post a guide on how to setup a nice UI, how to make costum art or how to get yourself a bling bling UI in general. Maybe write a guide on how to optimize your UI for raiding or PvPing. Also, you could teach people the art of making macros or the art of using them right. Tell people how to use macros to boost their DPS, to handle their crowd control properly or how to keep that annoying healer mana drained the whole time while you are fighting his warrior friend.

Talent Specs [Discuss talent specs for all World of Warcraft classes here.]
Are you the master of talents?
Do you know exactly what talents are a vaste of points?
Do you know exactly what specs beat up what specs?
Do you know the stat req. for different specs, or the spec req. for diffirent instances or BG/Arenas?
- If so, this might be the place for you to drop those pants with leecher written all over them and get the party started. You could post a guide on what specs different classes should use in Mount Hyjal, or why marksman is the best arena spec. Point out different specs, show people your maths and let them know about that extra 0,4% of dmg you've found. - This forum is hard to get rep in, people are very, very hard to deal with in here because everyone think they know their class inside out. So be prepared to back up your theories with proofs and/or maths.

1) To employ to the greatest possible advantage in World of Warcraft.
So pretty much, if you find something that could be an advantage over another race or another class, then post it! Please search though before posting.
There's a number of possibilities for finding "advantages", Anything could be an advantage, as long as it's useful.

WoW Scams
Dictionary Definition - Scam
A fraudulent scheme, esp. for making a quick profit; swindle. Mixed with WoW - Wow Scam
A fraudulent scheme in WoW, esp. for making a quick profit like currency;
Dictionary Definition - Fraudulent 1. characterized by, involving, or proceeding from fraud, as actions, enterprise, methods, or gains: a fraudulent scheme to evade taxes.
2. given to or using fraud, as a person; cheating; dishonest.
So, now that we know the full definition for WoW Scams, now we can put it together.
To post in this section with success, you have to find methods of being A) Being Dishonest and B) To Make Quick Profit.

Dictionary Definition - Guides
To serve as a guide for; conduct.
To direct the course of; steer: guide a ship through a channel.
To exert control or influence over.
To supervise the training or education of.
Mixed with WoW - WoW Guides 1) To educate someone or to train someone by a piece of writing that can be used in WoW.
So pretty much this section is for teaching one another. If you found a way to do something easier or if you found something hard and you would like to educate everyone else on how you did it, then post it. :]

Model Editing
Dictionary Definition - Model with WoW 1) a pattern or mode of structure or formation.
2) a typical form or style.
Dictionary Definition - Editing: 1) To modify or adapt so as to make suitable or acceptable.
Now, if we put those together it pretty much means to edit the models in WoW. I'm not really familiar with Model Editing but I consider this subject to be a lot harder then the others. So, if you want to advance in this subject, I suggest you read all the guides and you ask as many questions as possible.

WoW Exploration
Dictionary Definition - Exploration 1) an act or instance of exploring or investigating; examination.
2) the investigation of unknown regions.
So pretty much in a Wow definition it means to explore unknown regions of WoW or to investigate the "Finer" Aspects of WoW. So lets say you found a cool spot in WoW which looks pretty unique or desolate or if you examined a specific object and you see a pattern, if any of these things happen, take a screenshot and post it. :] Search before posting.

General Chat
Do you have a hard time finding anything useful inside the world of warcraft?
Do you feel like it has all been posted before?
Do you have a hard time learning modelediting and what-so-ever?
You might wanna think about using the general chat forum as your way of gaining reputation. Maybe you know this awesome webpage about WoW that nearly noone knows, or maybe you know a site where you are able to download the most fantastic files at an amazing speed. You might also just know something that can make peoples day, or at least put a smile on their face for a while!
Contributing this way is definetely a possibility, and lot of people will benefit from what you know meaning that some of them will probably even +rep you for your share
Now dont go and link some stupid webpage that is at no interest for noone, find something interesting!

But...
I don't really see how this is a leecher's guide to contributing. All you did was list the purpose of each sub-forum, defined what each forum meant, and explained what was to be discussed there.
This is more like "A Noob's Guide to MMOwned", to be honest.
So, I definitely understand how you said it's sort of a leecher's "Base Guide"...I'm just saying that it doesn't really include advice on becoming a better part of the community.
Sorry if that seemed harsh, but there's not really any advice on contributing. I'd simply recommend rechanging the thread title.

pretty cool. and id have to say that if ur gonna try to get out of leecher one of the best things to do is model edit. one simple edit that i just posted got me 13 rep in one night. not much but takes away the leecher tag.

Ah, very well put, but I am not here to tell what Leechers can or cannot post. There are so many ways to contribute.
Plus, I made this guide for "hopeless" leechers who do not understand how to contribute or if they know what section they would best be fit in.
This is just a "base" as I said in my original post.
TBH, Model Editing is the most easiest to gain rep ^^. Just download MWCS, and do swap thingies, texture edits, sound swaps, anything that can just amaze some few people that give + 1 rep. TBH, Model Editing is the first thing you can do to get your first rep, at least for me it worked. Nowadays model edits are just plain popular and people are more interested in reskins and such, they just want to see new things in wow unlike the old same things they see every day
