You have probably covered this within your post, which I have read. (But I am awfully tired at the moment, please forgive my ignorance if indeed you have answered this question.)

If a character was sold through a website that sells characters and I happen to take the character back because it appeared that I was hacked, due to the IP addresses that were used in the selling of the account (Not my IP) would there be any legal action that could be taken by either the website or the buyer of the character? I believe you said there is none due to selling being illegal, but I would like some confirmation on the subject matter if you could possibly give me such.

Please excuse my grammar. Like I said, i'm tired. x.x

I have gone over the posts in previous pages and found exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you for your knowledge on the subject matter at hand and I apologize for asking a question you had previously answered.

If I could give you rep, I would. Thank you so much for the information you have provided.

I thought this may help people.

From Paypal: paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/popup/BCSeeDetails-outside

Filing a dispute Within 45 Days. Before filing a claim, you must file a dispute through PayPal’s Online Dispute Resolution process. You will be given the option to escalate your dispute into a claim within 20 days of the dispute being filed under the terms of the Buyer Complaint Policy.

Once a dispute has been escalated into a claim, PayPal will contact the seller and investigate your claim. PayPal may use any messages posted in the PayPal Resolution Center while your dispute was open to decide the claim If the claim involves non-delivery of goods, the seller must present appropriate proof of delivery to the buyer’s specified address. If the claim is granted, PayPal will reimburse you up to the full purchase amount. If your payment was funded wholly or partly with PayPal Credit, PayPal will reimburse you first by issuing a refund to your PayPal Credit, and then by crediting any remaining amount to your PayPal balance

Disputes must be filed no later than 45 days from the date of payment. Disputes must be escalated into a claim no later than 20 days from the date the dispute has been filed. Only one claim may be filed per PayPal transaction. PayPal will seek to resolve the claim within 30 days of the date the dispute is escalated into a claim, though such time frame may be extended, if appropriate, to accommodate the investigation. This policy applies only to the sale of tangible, physical goods and excludes all other sales and services, pursuant to section 8.c.1 above.

Are you mentally retarded, or...?

The very, VERY first section explains how to get an account unbanned. In fact, many would say that they don't care at all about the other sections of this guide; only the account unbanning one. I even underlined it in the table of contents.

Legal action, no, not like you think. But they can:

A. File a dispute within 45 days, like you say, and get all of their money back. That doesn't count as "legal action" on your part, but all of the money you received from the sale will be extracted from your Paypal account. If you do not have all of the money currently in there, your Paypal account will reach a negative balance, and you will need to add more money to it for the balance to become positive again. If you do not pay it back, Paypal will constantly harass you through email, and eventually through phone. If you still refuse to pay the money back, they may consider legal action.

B. The company can perform a bank account chargeback, which can remove the money from your Paypal account even after the 45 dispute date. This will result in the same situation as above (money being taken from your Paypal account.)

As you can see, Paypal always sides with the buyer in cases of virtual goods like that.

Therefore, it is safe to say that when you sell a character to anyone, be it a website or a person, you should only sell it if you are quite confident that it will be recalled. You should not recall the char unless you want to risk losing the money.

You could keep the money in your Paypal account, recall the char, and wait a week or 2 and see if they dispute/chargeback their payment.

my acc was locked after it got hacked, but blizzard at first sent me a form that didn't require a notary, so I sent in all the info AND some, but when they received all my ID photocopies and such, they e-mailed me saying something along the lines of we cannot unlock your account yet because the "ID is not notarized.". They never asked for it in the first place? So then I called billing and apparently they gave me the wrong form, and then they resent the form but this one has the notary form attached to it.

I'm in a weird situation, I'm a minor(16 yrs) and my parents don't give a rats ass about WoW so they won't go anywhere to get a form notarized for a game. Is there any way a minor can get something notarized or am I just screwed?

Also, 1 quick question about Gliders/getting banned for using it..if you currently have a warning on your account, do they often go straight from a warning to a permaban for using a bot or they tend to give a 72 suspension/final warning first?

Thanks a lot.

You can often get things notarized at banks. So, just head to a bank, ask if you could get some papers and an ID notarized, and they'll probably be able to help you.

Do you think they'd let me do so if I'm a minor(16)?

Sadly, I couldn't tell you. I don't live in your state, and I really don't know the specific rules.

My guess is that if you told them you had parental permission (maybe include a signature + phone number from one of your parents?), they would do it for you. I am not certain, though. You'll just have to go there and see for yourself.

Ok let me just start by saying thank you for being such a great contribution to this site. Also ty for taking questions from stupid leechers like me.(was working on model edit pack but with banwave im a little bit afraid of WoWMe right now)

Ok i was looking at another forum when i found a form of honor grind the looks to be incredibly effective. This really isn't much of an exploit. but it has to do with farming the towers in Plaugelands with both horde and alliance. My question is this: is this something im likely to get banned for? It involves letting each side cap and then immeadiatly other side caps. resulting in the cap honor. i would be running both characters. but one would be AFK while other capped. im srry if im restating the same things again and again. but this could
A: get me out of leecher status if it works and no one else has submitted it
B: make honor farming waaaay easier
theank you for reading my bad grammared, crappily spelled, and otherwise annoying wall of text.
EDIT: well not really wall... but possibly stump.

I have never heard of this, so I couldn't really tell you. I'd say give it a go, though. I can't imagine anyone would ever look at you and then decide to report you for it.
