Hey guys, first of all sorry for the bad title, but i didn't know how to describe this with a short title.
I received an account of my friend on Friday. He told me that he does not care if the accounts get banned or if I do any stupid things with it, because he wanted to stop playing wow, so I decided to do some reeeeaaaaally stupid things.
I started with the Guild bank scam. Unfortunately, it didn't work one single time. Anyways, i received 3 Tickets for this. After that, i scammed a few people ingame (Backspace trade thingy), and like 2 ppl told me that they wrote a GM ticket. After that, i tried the /dnd account scam (I know that this was really dumb XD) which also made me receive like 2-3 GM Tickets.
On the next day, i had a few nice emails from Blizzard in my inbox. The last one said that my account has got banned for an unkown time, due to research.
Today, i got a new mail from Blizzard, and they want me to give them my name, my address, my CD key, SQ/SA and a copy of my Identity Card (Dunno if this is actually correct english, but i think you know what i mean).
One Qustion: Why? They tell me that they are not able to re-activate my account if i won't send them all that stuff. But that does actually not mean that they WILL unban the account if I do. I mean lol, they say that they want to be sure that i own the account, but why do they care? I scammed so many people, the risk that i will get a permanent ban is really high.   |

O.O LOL!?!?
I dunno.... hmmm... its odd... but I guess try it and see? :P And hey, if it does get unbanned, give me the account info with the CDKey, SQ/SA and other stuff.  (not to scam with)

Why did you do stupid things with it!? :S You should of sold it lol...Extra cash.. beats muckign about on a game anytime.

it had only a 29 mage on it, and i have enough other accounts, so I didn't need it And I didn't want to level another toon. Just wanted to test some scams 
Anyway's i'll try to get it back. I think if i'll tell them that the account was hacked, it will work, cuz i received the account on friday, so i could make it look like it got hacked on friday (IP log and so on).

Get the ID, cd key and such from the guy that gave you the account.
Or try saying that u lost ur cd key, and you dont remember what your name is, and your cat got the ID ^^

Yeah, but i just wonder why i have to send them my ID card, name, address etc o_O... I'm really sure that the account will get permanently banned, can't imagine they will unban it if i'd send them my ID and name etc. |

maybe someone is trying to scam you. blizzard explicitly states they will never ask for that stuff via email. |

This is the deal (99% sure):
Blizzard investigated your acc after they recieved all these tickets and found that all these scams were made on a new IP (yours) than before (your friends). Therefore they came to the conclusion that it might have been hacked and asked you to send all that info. If you send the correct ones (your friends info) theyll most likely unban your acc since they know you are the "original" owner. |

Only thing is if you send that they might ban your real account after investigating it.... |

As opposed to "They gave the totally wrong information, this can't possibly be the correct owner" and email the first email and let them know what's up. | |
