My apologies it is actually called "Dark Below." I always refer to it as Dark under, although it is not proper. It is believed to be either a separate plane from the twisting nether that contains its own faction of evil, or on the same plane as the Twisting Nether but a rival faction of the Burning legion.

Not much is known about it. There is a link to the wowwiki page that gives a more detailed and accurate answer then my own. However I am unable to post links as of yet.

Sargeras' spirit infuses her unborn son, Medivh

Medivh is born

The conflicting powers of the Guardian and the Fallen Titan drive him into a coma that lasts for years

He at last emerges from his coma, possessed by Sargeras

Sargeras, in the form of Medivh, confronts and allegedly defeats Aegwynn

Kil'Jaeden discovers the Draenei hiding on Draenor, the orcish homeworld

Instead of charing in with the demons as always, he instead corrupts the orcs

The orcs begin mass slaughtering the draenei, and Velen and the few he can save flee into the Zangarmarsh to escape

His work done for now, Kil'Jaeden abandons the orcs to be consumed by their bloodlust

Gul'Dan, an orcish warlock and leader of the shadow council, has a dream in which he is contacted by Medivh

On Medivh's instruction, the orcs construct the Dark Portal and invade Azeroth

Medivh takes an apprentice, Khadgar

Khadgar eventually discovers the truth and confronts Medivh, alongside Lothar and Garona Half-Orcen

They defeat Medivh, and his spirit - and Sargeras' - are banished to the Twisting Nether

Well, there isnt really any lore on Illhoof himself, but he is referring to Sargeras. Illhoof is a Satyr who were originally formed by Sargeras by turning the Highborne from the first war to work for the burning legion.

As far as lore goes, if anyone says "The Great One" and they are evil, then they are like 99% of the time referring to Sargeras

Hey, does anyone have any theories as to where Jarod Shadowsong went? According to WoWWiki he just left some day, and never returned. But you can't always trust the site. I really like the character, so I think it's a shame that he isn't in any of the games. He could be the random Demon Hunter you can train in custom games, but I don't really think that they match his character very well.
What do you guys think?

Good question.. Sadly there isnt much more than that.

He never looked being looked up to, especially as a leader. So after the war of the ancients, he kinda faded away, and was never seen or heard from again.

Would be badass if he came back somehow in WotLK, but I doubt it. He was a cool character, but he just didnt fit into the story much after the first war.
