What kind of PvP gear should I buy before starting Arena? I can get Furious offset pieces with honor, Wintergrasp gear and Deadly pieces with emblems of conquest.
So is it better to farm until I have the optimal non-Arena gear or start Arena earlier? |

Reputation: 173 Level up: 42%, 648 Points needed | | | | Do not use honor for deadly pieces. Rather, use emblems for them, in the same time you can get a weapon (if you are a melee class) from ToC HC.
When you got about 500 resi and a good weapon as melee class, or about 800 + good spell power as healer, you should start doing arena.

Reputation: 2 Level up: 19%, 406 Points needed | | | Even if you don't have the gear to be competitive in arena, it's good to do 10 games every week for points. There will surely be others in the arena with as shitty gear as you.
Once you have a proper set of pvp gear, you can start being serious about arenas

Reputation: 1 Level up: 9%, 367 Points needed | | | | Honestly this may be taken the wrong way, but depending on how comfortable you are in the arena/and what class, I would say just grind out the honor for the Relentless off pieces.
I say dependant on class also because a skilled rogue even in blues/pve epics can do his fair share, of damage / control.
Compare your gear and see which are the biggest upgrades from what you have now ( prolly a duh ). Get what you can in Raid instances when you go on guild runs ( if applicable ), and just use that.
and make sure...absolutely make sure you run VoA10-25 Every week, really easy instance that can get you free Arena Gear ( as well as tier but who uses that crap ='( ) | |
