I am sorry to bother you from your regulary scheduled Cataclysmic events to ask you this simple question, from this lowly user.
I need to buy a Laptop to play World of Warcraft on when I go to college.
I would like to keep it under a thousand dollars.
I do not multi-box.
Does anybody have any recommendations?

IMO get atleast 2GRam as for graphic cards, i dunno lol, i heard gaming laptop are pricey tho. |

thats my laptop, plays WoW fine at 50 - 120fps depending on where you are 
That cost me £1200 when it came out about a year ago, there are better Toshiba Qosmio X series out now.

Reputation: 1 | | | Honestly under a Thousand wont get you a stellar laptop for gaming. Most laptops under that price dont have a dedicated graphics card, and the Integrated chipset is usually pathetic. You could still play WoW, but its graphics would be sub-par and its framrate would probably lag more than a desktop.
A gaming laptop usually runs 1.5k+. But if you can go with bare minimums then im sure most laptops nowadays could run WoW. Mines an Inspiron 1525 with no graphics card, 3gb RAM and a Core 2 Duo and it can run WoW okay. It was a 1.1k laptop though. Though im running Vista so the preformance gets eaten up by a crappy OS.
If you keep it running XP a laptop of below 1000 should be able to cut it to play WoW, just not the best. | |
