Changing the Order of your Characters on the select screen

Saw this post while exploring the tech support forum EU:

I'm quite interested in how you do this too, sucks for be because i have main, alt, bank, main2, alt... rather have my characters in a better order.

Anyone know how to do this?

I swear somebody posted a guide on here of how to do it with MC, but it was a joke and everyone was mad at him. I'll try to find it

you cannot do this. its server side. As discussed a long time ago.

That's a pretty awkward thing to put server side isn't it?

Would be pretty nice to allow users to move the character list around.
