My WoW-Life story [Wall of text, only read if you like stories]

Hey there everyone. I was recalling memories with one of my oldest WoW-friends and I thought my hunter's life story would be fun to read of a lot of people.

I will first tell you something about myself. I was born at an early age in Leiden, Holland. Where I grew up with my mom and dad. When my parents divorced I moved to Amsterdam. I have lived there ever since and I am 16 years old at the moment. I started playing wow when I was.. 13 I think.

This part of the story will include my beginning, from the very start and untill about level 30. If people are interested I will update this thread with the rest of my story :]

Chapter one: A Birthday of Torture.

It was my thirteenth birthday, but that will come later. First I will tell you a short story that goes 2/3 months back in time. It was a sunny day around march. I used to play Habbo Hotel back in those days (yes, bite me!). I caused phone bills that went into the hundreds and when my parents found out I wasn't allowed to do anything on the internet for 2 and a half months. That would mean I wasn't able to acces the internet again untill 2 weeks after my birthday.

A friend of my mom played WoW. We will call my Henry in this story. Henry told me about WoW before and I would always listen carefully but I never really had the urge to start playing.

My birthday came along and Henry gave me a trial version of WoW and told me if I liked he would buy me the game and pay one month for me, I was really excited cause at this point I remembered all the epic tales about his mage that he told me.

The next two weeks were a pain and I struggled to get through. I kept staring at the shiny WoW box that Henry borrowed me to install the game, which I by that time already had.

Chapter 2: The beginning

My internet restriction was lifted and I was allowed to play WoW! I was in heaven. I created a nightelf hunter, as any noob would do. I named him Fight. Later on I transfered him to a different server and back and I had to change the name. He is now named Xpitt on the Emerald Dream server. This is on the EU servers btw.

I behaved like anyone new in the game would. I killed monsters, found out I could do quests and stuff. I actually whispered anyone I passed to ask if they were new too. I was having the time of my life. I walked around the starter area for about three days. I hit level 6 a lot earlyer but I wasn't aware that I was able to leave this zone and to be honest.. I didn't really care.

I flew through the next four levels and when I found out, at level 12, that I was able to have a beast at my side to fight for me I totally flipped. I started googling hunter pets and decided that at the time it would be coolest to get a nightsaber. I called him Junk.

I moved on to Darkshore, after I explored Darnassus to the max, I was totally amazed by all the beautiful buildings, temples and trees in this wonderful city. I encountered loads of fun and scary quests in Darkshore. I didn't dare entering Ameth Aran untill I was level 16 and helped the Nightelves of this mighty forrest in their quest to reclaim these ruins.

Chapter 3: Finding My Soul Mate

By the time I hit 21 and was about to move on to Ashenvale I got bored and decided I was going to explore the lands of Kalimdor before moving on to Ashenvale. I walked through Ashenvale and was killed by some big ass cow figures. I later found out these cows were the Tauren. The Tauren ruled the Barrens which I was about to enter. The Tauren that killed me were Barrens Guards. Luckily I didn't give up and searched for an other way in. A few feet to the left was a secret passage which was unguarded. I took my chance and proceeded into the Barrens.

I wandered around for a few hours and eventually ended up on the east coast and came across a small Goblin town called Ratchet. I explored in town a bit untill I came across a bread vendor. There she was, a beautiful Nightelf female, with letters, shining in full green glory, Nightwolfy above her head. I whispered her and hoped that she would be able to tell me some WoW secrets and she did! It wasn't anything big but she showed me a clam on the ocean floor near to Ratchet. I know it was nothing big but this was the beginning of the great friendship.

Nightwolfy introduced me to outdoor PvP cause back in those days BGs weren't out yet. We farmed loads of HKs in the Barrens always looking for a hairy Tauren or a tusky Troll to squash beneath out boots. Leveling went slow. We only killed monsters on our way to the battlefield and only rested when we were short on ammo or our armor had so many holes in them that we had to repair. I think I spent about two weeks in the Barrens.

When we both had hit 28 we moved on to a Thousand Needles and I was amazed on how the Great Lift worked. It seemed to float on air, but that was for someone else to figure out, hehe. We killed a lot of mobs on our quest to find more horde to kill but sadly there weren't as much Tauren in a Thousand Needles than in Barrens, so leveling went a lot faster here.

When we both hit 29 we decided that eventhough the GUards of Freewind Post were a lot higher level we should try and penetrate their defences. It was an epic battle of great skill and it took a lot of time. My friend had been slain in the beginning of the fight but I managed to stay standing. When my pet died I paniced. The fight seemed like it had lasted for hours. I started running and shooting. This is where I learned how to kite a mob. Nightwolfy was able to respawn and watched me with great disbelief as I was slowly killing the big Tauren. The Tauren was defeated. We decided this was enough adventure for us in a Thousand Needles and we moved back to Ratchet to rest at the inn for the next couple of hours.

When I first started playing WoW I grinded to 45 yes GRINDED NO quests...

Except the starter ones then I quit for about 2 years.

LoL i and i thought i was the only that took forever to lvl their first toon. i made the mistake of lvling my pally holy from 1-70. i knew where all the graveyards were. loved ur story.

Brings back memories... man I spent hours watching youtube pvp videos to see which class was the best for pvp coz i love pvp ... then I made a toon based on what i saw in those videos... then I watched duels in game... and my class was getting owned... soI decided to make another class that was better HAHA done deal... good times lol.

Oh I remember doing than a couple of times! I love it.

lol i remember corpse hopping across kalimdor at lv 5...i corpse hopped all the way to un-goro from teldrasill just because i heard there was an npc that was supposed to be link down there...
