Basically a long time ago when I was hacked, the gm who restored my gold forgot to set my account status back to normal. I logged in, and when I spoke in guild chat, I saw the blizz tag next to my name lol.
So basically I got to speak to horde, run around invisibly, and could not get aggro from anything.
Of course when it was raid time, we had to restore me back to normal, because somebody believed that we wouldn't get loot from the boss if I were still gm at the time. I dunno if that was true, but do you guys happen to know? Also, what kinds of things was I also able to do as a gm? I tried looking for commands but nothing worked. |

Reputation: 391 Level up: 31%, 763 Points needed | | | | You can only access GM commands from Blizzard terminals. In other words, you must be in either their Irvine or their Austin offices.
With just the GM tag, you:
-Can talk to both factions.
-Can't be killed by mobs. It's possible you can't be hit either, I dunno.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you were invisible. You shouldn't have that option.
Anyway, there's really not much you can do with a GM tag. However, if you pretend to be a real GM while you've mistakenly been given the tag (things like "hey this is <GM> Bloodyhook and I'll need all your gold for testing please, thanks"), you'll suffer some serious consequences. |

And no I didn't try anything stupid like scamming people lol, although it was really hard to resist.
And yeah I figured I wasn't allowed to do much anyway, thanks. |

the commands that we use on EMU servers are NOT the acctuall commands that GMs use on blizz servers, they have a whole seperate 2rd party program that they do their thing from its not the same as being a GM on a private server unfortunately
woulda been cool if you had screenshotted this tho :-( |

And for your info you can loot mobs and bosses, however you have to keep up DPS or they bug/reset.
I got bored after soloing every heroic and clearing Kara (couldn't get into ZA because of gong, and 1 trash mob in BT took me 43 minutes to kill so gave up on that).
For fun I offered ZA GM Boosts for 5K. Took them about 5 minutes to remove my GM tag then :P (Though I got to keep my loot and badges) |
