Also there was a post about this on wowinsider, cant be arsed to find the link, but they agreeed that it was funny but that the "undead" theme always have had this neon-blue colour to it.
Also, LotR was created (and published) throughout World War 2 and then contiuned selling, so EA probably didnt copy the wotlk-game "logo", so maybe Blizzard actually copied..

The Rise of the witch king xpack was released about a year ago,
Also, the witch king character dates back to WW2 but we cant say he's been copied since we all know most modern day fantasy takes a few ideas from Lotor ALWAYS!
P.S Battle for Middlle-earth was a really good game  |

But what you'll easily notice ( Lich - L, + W + T=Witch -- They nearly got the same helmets, and the helmets are exact same at the mouth part)
But still, pretty random
