Wait, battles in WoW can last for days? Really?

I've played Eve and some battles can last for hours (though not too often), but days? WoW battles between players last like 4 minutes at most.

that is really the secret reason behind the Zombie invasion event. Some Military doctors wanted to test the results of an epidemic if one were to occur.
