Animating your Avatar

I used WoW MV to make my signature and saved it as a .gif which works fine from the file and such... But when I uploaded it to the site its just a screen shot. Am I doing something wrong here?

Its the way to forum displays the image, it cuts down bandwidth.

yea im having the same problem...my avatar is ment 2 be animated but it is justa ss on these forums? how do i cut own the bandwidth?

only contributors get animated avatars... its one of the...bonuses... (contributor/donator... get that status instead of like.. master sergeant or w/e)

Sorry that sentance dosn't make much sense to me Is it contributers or does it depend on rank? And Im pretty positive that this is abosulely incorrect as Ive seen some make there first post with a starwars character humping the air as an avatar (all animated) If you give me a sec I'll find an example. Plus Rudez has been a contributer for quite awhile now and was having the same problem recently.

I'm not looking to copy and paste a generic one though.

It depends on the size. If your avatar is 200x200 and you try uploading it resizes and the animation doesn't work no more.
