so basically my cousin is wanting me to join his guild on another server. the problem is that he is horde and im not. i play a lock and although not as well geared as i he has a lock as an alt and was offering to give it to me if i joined his guild and played with him and his brother. as much as i would ove to do this im not really intrested in paying for another account, nor am i intrested in ditching my account with 3 70s on it. is it possible for me to alter personal information in order that i could simply get his toon onto my account?
and ideas / thoughts / advice? |

Reputation: 88 Level up: 65%, 175 Points needed |    | | | You need the same surname on the accounts to transfer between them, last time i checked you can't change the surname on an account.
IMO sell your account with 3 lvl70s on it, buy 1 with a decent geared character and transfer to his realm. |

You can ring Blizzard and ask them to change your Surname.
If your lucky they will do it.
But they generally ask for proof of legalised name change. |

But they generally ask for proof of legalised name change. | Yup, they require either the forms, or if you say you got married and your name changed, the marriage papers have to be photocopied and sent in. PitA to do any of that though, so i would suggest just playing on the other account. |

Reputation: 1 | | | well the thing is that since i started the game damn near release and since at the time i was like 15 or 16 i did not use my real information, i dont remember if i put my dads or a alias that that i used to use a lot. so im goign to take a wild guess that if it was the fake name i have no chance of changing it but if it was my dad's information would i be able to transfer it to me since i am now 19?
and if i said i had my name changed or tried to tell the real story would i actually get banned or would they jsut say no and leave it at that?
any real experence in thisi area? |

any real experence in thisi area? | Generally when I've ever plead a story to Blizzard they've shut me down without sympathy. You could try asking them and saying you BS'd the name when you made the account, but they prolly wont buy it. Maybe if you had other verification though, such as original CD-keys, and credit card info that has been used on the acct before, they might? |

Reputation: 1 | | | lol well the fact of the matter is that it really is my account the whole time (if you were implying that i wasnt) and the name iont eh account is quite obviously face since its a char for a novel but basically if i did try it would they be like , sry, your **** up, now your banned... or will they just refuse to help me |
