I want your ideas.

I'm not talking mechanics here. I don't want ideas that involve new spell ideas, or dynamic people-eating mountains. I don't want new classes or new abilities.

I do want terrain designs, or ideas about new landscapes and such.

If you could invent a zone, what would it look like? What is the theme?

An eternal burning forest? An underwater volcano? A moon-like area?

I want your ideas. I want a lot of them. Post anything, anything at all. I hold no discrimination for simplistic or overly complicated ideas.

They only thing I require in your post, is a zone theme. The first example is a simple, short idea.

Example 1)

"a moon themed landscape with craters and such"

That works, that works in fact, quite well. I can definitely work with that.

Example 2)

"an ancient, ravaged land of the mountain giants, full of crystals and hills where they lived. A few small encampments scattered around of both faction, but not very big. Also a blood elf encampment in the north of the zone, controlling a faction of the giants with a giant crystal."

That is good. A lot to work with there. Again though, both are fine, I'm just after ideas, as I've exhausted my repertoire.

So come now, let me hear your ideas!

A long floating stream up in the sky, you can walk on it, red colored like streamy cloud, walking along time, until you come across a chest, a chest with full tier 6, yes it exists, and you could jump off the cloud, yet still die.

A big fat void where it looks like you're walking on space and the mobs are all camouflaged :] I'm sure WoW would love it; afterall, they do like to make their players frustrated, no? 20 min travelling times ***

Okay, let me explain A_Snake's request univited.

Imagine playing an expansion to World of Warcraft. Just like the first time you walked around Azeroth, or outlands, how you felt discovering new lands ingame

What would you want to see if new zones in the game were created?

Use your imagination, but be realistic...

Think of something orginal, like you wouldn't see in the current WoW, but isn't too far out from it.

A plauge-stricken island. Deseised, purple-esk rolling hills with fog, surounded by dark, tainted water. Mobs would look similar to those of the Plaguelands and such.

oh yeah my idea: an eternal burning world, sorta like hellfire peninsula except darker...there is flames everywhere while demonic overlords plague the land, what little water left is as red as blood.

My idea:
A very deep and hidden forest, it should be very green, allways have the silvered moonlight, shadows whispering to you, animals that you can speak with, a statue of a "Fire Tiger", and the forest itself should be friendly to those which knows it, but look dangerous to those which doesn't know it..

I have been too much druid ^^ It's a bit like Fangorn Forest and Emerald Dream turned together with something else

A Vast Plagueland mainly ruled by Undead...but being forcibly taken over by the Bloodthirsty Fel Orcs.....Bigger cities...and...mostly greenish land...
when you get there it seems as if your a Fel Orc..

i like the eternal burning forest idea myself. but another idea would be a huge mountain range with numerous paths and bridges in which its so high up you cant even see the ground. i want to see what this turns out to be.

Ok here is mine, low thin fog where your legs are, there are moshes and shallow lakes, the sun is blocked by big tree's, little insects everywhere, then like there is a shore and now its total fog and you can see destroyed ships with moss on it, just like a gloomy place ^^ then the enmies are like undead but witrh the big seawood going on, and just by the lakes, and there are crocs and such
