| All you had to do was google it, here is what someone said on the wow forums.
" I just found this site the otherday called MMOEDGE.COM
It requires you to pay to use the info on the forums....
There was a very nice alliance guide on ALL quests in outlands 60-70 one of those.... (now once ur done with this quest go southwest to 51,32 and you should see a so and so) That kind of guide. It was very useful. i did the quests without ever reading them.
but heres the scam....
So after I payed with my paypal account ($5.95 USD) I was directed back to the site. free to browse all areas.... I used it the first day... turned the computer off and went to sleep....
the next day, as I attempted to log into the site. It wouldnt let me. Said my username and password were inccorect.....So I check my email....(and you know how when you sign up for a site...they usually always send u an email saying your account has been confirmed...your account is blah blah..and your password is so and so...) well i never recieved an email like that. I know i didnt enter the wrong information because I use the same name and passwrod for almost all sites i sign up for...
but its not like i could check my email to make sure i didnt enter it wrong......because I WAS SENT NO EMAIL!!
WHY?
So i found the site admins email address and sent him a letter askwing why the hell my account is no longer working......I waited a week. I still have not gotten a reply. So i went into my paypal account and cancled my subscription... (oh and btw...the guide is $5.95 for the first week....then (not including this information in the info on the sign up page) you are charged $39.95!! Good thing i cancled it so soon.
The site also has completley inaccurate information. Such as False "cheats" and "hidden things"......cept u have to read the FINE PRINT AT THE BOTTOM THAT SAYS....
"only works on private servers"
In my first email i sent to the site admin. I mention how I felt i had been scammed, and my money had been stolen.....and if I did not get a reply, and satisfaction. I would be sure to give their site a bad reputation.....
and thats what im doing now....as well as warning you people from getting your money stolen.
good luck....spread the word." |
