This topic is for web programers only.(html,php,asp...)
Soo enyone know how the blizz server verifies the cdkey when u enter them. I viewed the source of the page and it's a form something like this:
<form name="form1" method="post" action="menu.html">
Soo from what i know when u press the submit button the information is send in body text field and then send to the server(a php, cgi, asp file)
from what i see here the cdkey is send to the menu.html. Soo not good.
What I am trying to find is the source code of the file that verifies the cdkeys.
If enyone can help i will make u a statue(and a cdkeygen).:P |

Many people have tried things like this and have failed, I think Blizz are smart enough to put some protection on something like this, But whatever, GL

im not an interweb programmer, but i know some stuff about the CD keys. not exactly the source code for the checker, but the keys are randomly generated and are reg'ed into a server when produced. then, when the key is entered it is checked with the server.

I hate to say this but if you had the capabilities to get this done you would:
1. Be asking on a coding forum.
2. Not actually have any questions as the only person who could answer this would be you... because only the master hacker could find a way.
3. You would realize the legal infractions and not actually do it.

Im bored so i think ill go act like a 13 year old and send a email to blizz saying I bought it and the cd didnt work, really passes time

trust me, blizzard doesnt code a CD key authentication system so simply, then we wouldnt be paying for world of warcraft we could just hack authentication keys for game cards. Their is a file but it is secure in one of their servers, Trust me this is nothing like the simple web challenges on hackthissite.org if thats where you got the idea, but ill start you off in the right direction IF you want to try to get free cd keys (not recommended) .
find the IP for the CD key server, thats my hint. im out. |

hmmm. first off all i'm tired of all the ppl saying blizz is like the god of coding and can't be hacked. Let's face it hackers ****in cracked NASA and FBI sites and other ****. Everything can be hacked.
second i'm not some kid who surfs hackthissite.org. I'm a coder. Gradueted Informatics.
now to get to the subject: i don't think the cdkeys are stored in database. I coded programs working with database and searching for a cdkey to see if it's valid or not, from a database of mabe milions of keys, takes time. I don't say blizz doesn't have great servers and bandwith. But this is a matter of programing language which doesn't support that high speed. Soo blizz verifies the key very quick(1-2s) and i think they have a formula for cdkeys.
I'm gonna work now on getting all the php,cgi,asp... files from theyr website. and see which are good or which are locked.
I'll keep u informed how this is going.  |

for the millionth time there is no mathematical formula for Blizz keys. and i think your wrong. i think they DO have such a database with the keys on them and (just as an example) SQL can find and compare a verification code in seconds. |

One hint, If you do have any great idea's that ay work, Dont dicuss them publicly on sites like this, Now like everyone who plays WoW, I want to see a Gamecard keygen someday, But posting what your gonna do PUBLICLY on forums like these isnt advised, Emphasis on publicly, Im not saying don't dicuss it, Jus not for everyone to see
