Ok so I know alot of people know they can play WoW with an Xbox 360 controller (personally I think it sucks) But I dont think alot of people know that you can also use the mic.

I was trying to find a mic for Ventrilo to talk to my guild, and stumbled upon my old XBOX Live 360 Mic. I decided to plug my Controller into my computer and intall the drivers, then plug in the mic to see if it reconized the mic as well, and it did.

So if you have Xbox Live for 360, and you need a mic for WoW or what ever, grab you controll and mic, plug in the mic to the controller, plug the USB from the controller into the port on your comp, download drivers and VWALLA!

Just if anyone didnt notice that as well ;p
Because decent mics are about $20.00 - $40.00 and since I got a Mic for my 360, I get to save some Money

Also, if you actually get a wireless adapter to reconized your wirless controller, that might work also, I was reading somthing about that.

I think the 360 mic is garbage personally. Its Small, flimsy, has bad sound quality, and isn't very comfortable. I personally like big clamshell type mics.

Good idea though in a pinch, but I play enough that buying a mic is worth it.

Ya, well let me add that its the same voice quality as xbox live, so 7/10 on the quality ;p
so if your going for the quality, go buy one online or at a store

but it atleast you dont have to pay for a new mic

Nice, that would be helpful if your mic recently broke and you are too lazy to go buy one. :P
