he did it again... 1day 2hours 31minutes /played... how can he do it so damn fast?:|

A few days ago we posted a news about Athene who managed to break the world record of leveling a World of Warcraft character from 1-70 on 1 day and 19 hours. Now it seems that the record has been broken - twice.

Earlier today WoW Insider posted a story about a German played called Tosog who managed to level his Druid from 1-70 on 1 day, 4 hours and 28 minutes.

As it turns out, Athene and his crew on Stormscale (EU) weren't late to break that record too, as they managed to bring yet another character from 1-70 on 26 hours and 31 minutes

Haven't you guys ever realize that he uses his level 70 to help him level himself? If he doesn't really do that then i would really like to find out how did he do it

How on earth does he manage to do it that quick? Even with all the lvl 70s i can find, i wouldnt be able to do it nearly that quick..

Aparently there is a bug in instances where the ingame timer doesn't run further as long as you are in the instance. This is confirmed my various GMs and Athene might just used that bug along with the so called "tabbing" in instances to lvl at this speed.

Tabbing uses a paladin who pulls an entire instance and brings the mobs down to like 20% with consecrate, then he spamms one more consecrate and runs out of the instance. This way the twink gets the whole xp and eventually more than one lvl up.

Hope this helps to realize Athene's record is not that special

Honestly guys this guy is such a cheat. He has done several movies on this...
1) He tries to give tips on how he did it... he says run THROUGH THE BUSH not over... don't loot... only train when you know there are spells that will help you alot etc.
2) He says he did not get any help

Yet in all his screenshots released he is in some instance or in some group with a lvl 70.

Its obvious that he used level 70s to boost him through isntances. He went from lvl 58-65 in Slave Pens alone, just with lvl 70 paladins and warlocks doting and aoeing, bubbling him, running out, he gets full exp.

This guy honestly does not amuze or impress me, he is a liar and a cheat, in his vids he puts on a horrible attitude, i know its an act but still he is really good at acting a dickhead...wonder why.

That time should be times by the amount of lvl 70s that help him.

The guys who really get my respect go to people like Joana and Brian who set the SOLO leveling record! They the ones with skill...all Athene did was use his tier 6 laden guild mates and real life friends to boost him.. all their skill not his. He lives with a best bud who has a t6 paladin as well and they played that time together non stop helping him. (They did not log off, use any rested xp etc. Was all in one session....F.R.E.A.K.S!).

I know because since they were online for so long it flagged their accounts and blizzard querried them as botters but when they asked them they said they were breaking the speed leveling world record...

There is only one thing i can give him credits for... his fooking hot...insanely hot girlfriend. How ever even then in his movies he calls her a B*tch over and over again (using it in replacement of honey, love,girlfriend,sweetheart,babe,w/e other soppy names you use). I presume its just an act and so do others, also the way his freaky friend acts...all an act but hell they act it well. Still no girl deserves to be called a bitch like that even if its just an act...

What Ilu said to.. i have heard about the instance time bug supersition but as far as i can see it has not been confirmed.
Ilu if you are refering the the screenshot i think you are refering to. There are bugs where your /played tim is not always correct until you log out or server restarts etc...that has been stated by gms alrdy, but your total time played is always correct.
Option too is that he just scrolled up in chat and A) got an addon that doesnt make it flash blue or B) any decent image editor can edit out the blue and make it look authentic. Who the hell knows, they could have cropped the whole XP bar out and replaced it with another one!
There are so many possibilities when it comes to this that i doubt we will ever have the truth...athene is the kind of guy who would love to keep people struggeling and contemplating for months on end about this untill everyone forgets about it, then BAM just as things are dieing down he says something stupid and the crowd goes wild again -.-

He did do a stint in europes big brother show, and a couple others if i remember right. that and he's got quite a bit of personality.

I respect Athene, because when hes not doing stupid shit with his "BEST PALADIN IN TEH WORLD" videos, hes a straight up cool guy. Proof is when he talks about the world and it's issues in Ipower.

I also think he deserves to have leveled so quickly.

Slippers how can you say that? You think they got issues with power??? come to South Africa buddy!

In 1997 our only nuclear power station Eskom, told the government we were going to run out of power b 2001 if they did not act now and build new power stations. The government denied them the rights because they wanted to privatise Eskom, meaning they wanted more private competition...in 2007 still no one came...now the government is wetting their pants. We have load shedding every single day. At least 2-9 power failures a month...soon it willl be every day.
Eskom is now a non profit organisation..the government has to give it money to support it...infact even FRANCE now are donating power and funds to SA to keep us going since we are very good friends in power with France (I think Eskom is like half french). The french are very power consevative and they all know and understand their crisis Athene is Belgium which is right next to france so duh he respects power.

Joana etc should get the SPEED leveling record.
Athene should get the POWER leveling record...
