Re: Emerald Dream - Tested & Working [LIVE SERVER!]
When the file is extracted it is 200KB, if you want me to explain compression for you, I will.
This is an AREATRIGGER, not an .ADT switch. It has no custom roads etc, it is a areatrigger that triggers your character to the ED area. This is why it's small in size.
It's a .MPQ as i'm sure you've realised. I didn't know .MPQ's were capable of exploiting computers or hard-drives, or even contain malicious software?
Anyway, here's a picture of what ours is, showing we do not use .ADT edits.
Re: Emerald Dream - Tested & Working [LIVE SERVER!]
Eh Phille, it's bloody amazing - everybody thinks everything is a keylogger these days.
Just put the .MPQ into your WoW/Data folder, it doesn't have the access or capability to execute anything. It can only be used by WoW. If you try to open it, you will get a bunch of muddled up stuff, because it's compressed.

Please learn about model editing before you speak.
I haven't updated my WoW and the MPQ came up with nothing but a file with no treepath and weird symbols.
Changing Map.dbc alone wouldn't do much. You are not in the actual ED. This is NOT an Area Trigger swap. This is just a simple map switch.
Why isn't your skybox changed by the way? Because it's not Emerald Dream.
Ok?
This is how the real Emerald Dream looks like.

btw take a look at this please. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
There's only one way to prove that you're in the real Emerald Dream.
Use the files, get in Scholomance, log out, take out the files and relog. You should be there.
If anyone's willing to try, feel free to...

Well that video looks exactly the same as we visited using an Area Trigger. And yes, it is a Area Trigger. That video shows exactly the same as what we have achieved. So by your own words, this is the real Emerald Dream - thankyou for clarifying. Our ED is EXACTLY the same, the same tree's with lights and waterfalls, the circle box thing, with rivers and a huge waterfall.
Re: Emerald Dream - Tested & Working [LIVE SERVER!]
meh, thinking of about whining about 1 thing ... wich has nothing to do with this, actually..
You can explain what compression is all about, you give rather "detailed" instructions how you did that and such and so ...
BUt you don't know what a skybox is ...
Re: Emerald Dream - Tested & Working [LIVE SERVER!]
lol is it possible to be in Outland with non bc account ?
I mean, becuz you could just change the area trigger from for example RFC to 530 ( the mapid of outland)

Eh, hold on.
As I see by your screenshots, it's not the same.
It's untextured. Can be fixed easily though, if you're so professional you should know how to.
Model changing area trigger wouldn't be editing Field 2 in Map.dbc, but changing some fields in AreaTrigger.dbc.
As I said, can be easily proven if you log out from the instance and remove the MPQ. I'll do it as soon as I get back from school...
Re: Emerald Dream - Tested & Working [LIVE SERVER!]
A skybox in my own definition is a pre-rendered backdrop of distance used in 3D games, in this case, WOW. It's used to create distant objects such as the moon in WoW to create a 3D effect.
If you do not believe me, nor Phille about this being the real, yes, REAL, emerald dream, then do not download it, and do not explore.
Before attempting to insult mine and Phille's intelligence, please learn the English vocabularly to a reasonable extent, as I find it hard to understand your context and grammar. As stated previously, if you think this is a fake, or a simple Map switch edit, then do not download it.
