Just found it so lovely that I could wall jump EPL and all to do my mid-summer quests 10x faster as a 40. I didn't deal with any high levels or hordies, went to a mountain, jumped up, mounted and kept going along the ridge line until I need to drop down. I just thought I would like to thank them, it helps and its fun. I am a WJ |

They never removed walljumping, only wallwalking. |

Yes, Wall jumping in fact was removed. It was because of the use of it in Battle grounds, Thats why now, there are invisible walls blocking most of the ways through BGs and Wall jumping was quietly reintroduced. It was patched and put back in when BC was set to release.
I would know, I cried for 1 whole minute. |

Indeed, I could walljump before BC as well, even just after the patch where wallwalking was removed. |

They never took it away, they tried 2 make it harder and fixed some major places where people jumped up alot, but never took it away, i guess they put it back in tho considering, they had alot of complaints lol, and as for that no mans land buff it only goes for places alot of people tend to get up on and explore ect.. but yeah i wonder if they patched the edge of the world exploit near bb XD i wanna do that again cuz it was fun but dont wanna go through the trouble of ghost running just 2 find out i get tele back 2 the shore |

Walljumping was never completely removed. My guess is though that they fixed the terrain to be more smoother and it was alot harder to stick yourself onto walls.
With the introduction on BC though they probably had to remodel the terrain because of the flying mounts addition (to not make it go ground form when you touch walls maybe?). Anyway, they made the terrain "rougher" so to say and it's easier to stick yourself onto walls again.
But true, it was never removed. |

Wall jumping well was not COMPLETELY removed. But the patch or two before 2.0 was released, Wall jumping was almost impossible. It was to be about 50,000+ people quit complaining about it, It happens these players were all explorers.
Because of that, Blizzard had made it as easy as ever to wall jump, and put up the invisible walls and stuff, to satisfy everyone. |
