Hey guys, some of you might remember me from connecting to hidden blizzard-servers ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
well, i was bored last days, so i tried again to find some non-public servers and tried to connect to them.. i finally got success and had the right account-info, but after loging in, i was asked to fill in values from a so called "matrix card"
here's a screen: http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/6...rixcardlol.jpg
i looked arround in the internet, but i found nothing.. has anyone seen this before?
edit: i hope its the right section.. didnt really know where to put this
greets,
cruhling

well, that's what I've found: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Seems like to be a new version of security for (GM? or atleast hidden) servers.

4.watch out your accounts. rumors has it that hackers are more active before and shortly after the transfer. the best way to prevent Trojans and viruses it to install anti-trojans and anti-virus softwares. also it is strongly recommended that u apply a matrix card from netease. my suggestion is that u change ur wow.exe into something else like 1234.exe.
It's definetly some way to secure your account, I'd like to compare with the Blizzard Authenticator. Does anybody know, whether that Authenticator is availiable in China? So if it's not, I guess you've found a Chinese servers' IP with Accountname/PW.
Would be nice, if you could share the IP or just proof it here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
are you asked alwasy for cell A1?
oder if you type wrong value are you reasked for A1 or does ist change?
you can try to brute force it!
I think the value is something like 4 digits, so you habe something like 10^4 possibilitis plus some extra.
it will may take a long time to check all those 10000 values, but maybe you can write a simple script
nope.. you're not always asked for cell A1.. you're asked for three randomly chosen cells, and if the entered values for one or more cell a wrong, you will get back to login screen..
well.. a friend of mine entered some randomly values and after lots of tries he was lucky and made it through, but then a message popped up said "Unable to validate game version"

sry, but won't share the ip yet, cuz the last time i shared ip and login, all the accounts got banned, and now most to all accounts got converted to battlenet-accounts or need a blizzard authenticator, what makes it hard to find out login infos..
i'm trying by myself atm, but maybe i will share it in a few days if i don't figure out how to pass that matrix card
So that implies that the servers run either ahead or behind the current version. Possibly remote (at home, whatever) testing servers for new content, or maybe simply a bogus game version given to those allowed on a similar play server like the last servers were.
