[Discovery] Arathi Basin Gate in Arathi Highlands - 05-13-2008
Nothing special but found it kinda funny, this is the gate in Arathi Highlands to Arathi Basin. If you do some climbing on the mountains you can avoid a invisible wall that stops you from getting on top of the gate. Once your on the gate you can walk off it and be FlOaTiNg In ThE aIr WOOooo Magic! Well its kinda funny to do so just showing for you non believers that im better than Chris Angel.

This is actually pretty old, you used this trick and then get on the roof, mount up and jump over the gates so you can enter before fight starts.

For those of you who didn't know...

There weren't always those lovely battle masters in each city offering so kindly to enter you in battlegrounds across the World ...of...warcraft...

Yes, I know it sounds silly, but it's no lie. Long ago, players had to pick their battleground wisely and ride to the area where the battles took place. AV in Alterac, Warsong in Ashenvale, and Arathi Basin in the Arathi Highlands.

As such, players literally spent hours waiting on a single queue (there weren't group queue's, can you imagine?) to pop. The result? Infinite camping of lowbies in said areas, exhaustive exploration of those areas, and occasional world PvP between the differing faction entrance points.

Now, I know that a world where you had to go places to get what you wanted and world PvP exists sounds like a horrid nightmare, but that's how things were...and it was epic...

and BTW

The gates arent actually supposed to be there so great find!
