okay, this does take some practice to do,

in gruul fight, gruuls will do a knockback and a shatter, which does up to 7.5k damage to everyone around you,

well you can avoid the damage from others by simply moving away, somtime this is difficukt tho, but you can avoid this damge ny jumping on a part of the wall about 10-15 feet from the right side of the door, does take a few jumps to get up there but it works nicely.

there is also a few other ways i you can avoid getting killed by shatter, but they are just hints not exploints ( just gonna throw these in, if you cant get the rrick down)
1. most raids are so busy trying spread out from each ther they fail to realize the door is completely vacated 90% of the time so just run to the door and chill.

2. you can use float effects during the ground slams, slow fall. levitate, parachute cloak ect,

3. or you can be a cheater rogue like me and use Cloak Of shadows ^_^

First off you havent even mentioned hiding behind rocks and sticks ECT. which would make it a mega repost. Cloak of Shadows is common sense and pointing out that the door is empty isn't anything important. With Gruul its common sense

Or download Deadly Boss Mods and turn on your DISTANCE window. It tells you everyone who is too close. So when the window is empty...you're safe.

You said it yourself.This is the WoW EXPLOIT forum, get out =P Wrong forum buddy. As of 2.3 all AoE effects are ground based. Thus meaning if you JUMP right before he uses shatter you won't take damage.

You know htere is actually one exploitable spot in gruuls, but you have to be ranged DPS to really use it. There is a rock on the right of the entrance ( Not the bigger one the smaller one ) If you stand between the rock and wall ( it dips between them ) Gruuls shatter ability wont throw you, youj ust stand there. You can still take dmg from shatter and cave ins, but its still a nice place ot stand if youra huntard and just not have to worry about shatter at all.

If you are in a guild that is doing gruul's and they don't know about safe spots... /shame. This is not an exploit, very sorry.
Edit:
For a safe spot, just jump on top of any rock or log around the edges of the map, as long as you're not touching the wall or floor of gruul's room you won't be kicked, just remember to spread out right after the shatter.
