TK: Solarian Exploit

We've been doing this 3 weeks in a row now and I didnt notice it until now.

During the first phase, solarian picks a random target and casts arcane missiles doing nice burst and making some low hp targets fight to stay alive, especially to consecutive casts.

This wasnt hard to heal through or anythign more or less annoying.

But we found out a way around this.....pretty much by a fluke when the druid had to BR a healer

#1. Use a druid to tank
#2. Everytime you can, cast bash (yes target is not stunnable just do it cause i said so)
#3. After you bash, shift out of bear and back into bear.

I tried to take screenshots of this but couldnt get it to show anything. Next week ill get a fraps going. Basically it turns the fight into a tank and spank where there are only bomb debuffs going around, as well as the aoe packs and the 2 priests.

Pretty simple if you ask me

My guild just downed Solarion for the first time last reset, and we're going back there this reset.

Well it does work i was wondering why they were taking druid tanks all the time and had no arcane missles only tank healing!

This is not isolated to druids with bash/shift as we have experienced this problem as well, but do not use feral druids.

You shouldn't confirm your own post either.

This isn't a "Bear-Only" trick I think. I have actually done this while tanking her on my warrior as well. It has nothing to do with the mobs it's just luck most of the time from what I found.

What you got to do is have her target you [the tank.] Solarion will most likely target you after or during a AOE phase. Once she has you targeted depending on where you're standing she may 'bug' out. If you'e on the stairs in the middle area there is a chance she will screw up and cancel/cast her arcane missiles only on you.

I found it easier to 'exploit' by running around attacking her and she will just constantly cast arcane missiles on you and cancel them. It's actually quite easy to do right at the initial Charge in at the start of the fight. since the first arcane misslie she casts usually goes for the tank charging in.

I don't think it has anything to do with druids since we just have rogs 'tank' the healers that spawn. It must be something else o.O

Dude Solarian is so easy that you dont even need to do this exploit :O
