The valentine event has started. With this you can give npc's a Love Token, and recive a Gift of Adoration with a small chance of containing a Romantic Picnic Basket.
The trouble is you get a one hour debuff, so you can only hand out Love Tokens once an hour.
However, you can hop on an alt and get the Gift of Adoration, then mail the package to your main if you get the picnic basket on the alt.
The package itself isn't soulbound, but the items inside are! This can be done with as many alts as you want, thus greatly increasing
your chances of getting a rare item.

The cooldown on the debuff will still tick down when your char isn't online,
so once you have enough alts to do the quest, you can make a nice
rotation every hour.

EDIT: I thought I should add, this even works on level 1 alts. So get the package, then mail it to your lvl 70.

I play on the European realms, and the event started at 3 am, monday morning. Maybe it starts later for the US realms? I don't know.

Just want to post a screenshot of the picnic basket. Me and some guildies went berserk in Stormwind,
putting down fishing baskets, romantic baskets etc. You really will get spammed by /whispers how you got it.

Yes Wakko93, the basket is kept forever and it has unlimited charges. 3 minute cooldown, and it lasts for 3 minutes. Pretty rare gift tho, so you might have to do it many times to get it. But do it enough times, and it will drop!

got it in second Gift of Adoration, dunno if its just lucky or high drop rate,
anyway am happy, you can right click on Gift of Adoration and check whats in, then close and send to ur chosen char

I had to get about 15 gifts from different alts before I got mine. Dunno, I could be pretty unlucky, but I have yet to see anyone else from my realm have it.
