My first thread, as usual I tried a search and really nervous about posting.
In any case we were doing Akil'Zon. We started the gauntlet and unfortunately someone yelled one of our rogues was afk. He was standing right where you get ready to start the gauntlet run to Akil'Zon.
Since we had started we couldnt stop and to our surprise on the first wave of bird adds and mobs from behind they either aggro'd to him or something and despawned and none appeared again. We simply killed the trash all the way to the boss without any adds. One other interesting thing was the whole path didnt respawn after the allocated hour on our attempts at the boss.
Were going to try to reproduce what we did and hopefully Ill have a clearer understanding of how this happened.
Anyways, if it is old or well known I do apologise, and just really wanted to share something with the community.

The raid was approximately here when the adds behind and birds spawned. They despawned literally 3 secs after.

Anyway there are mobs that spawn behind you after you go around the corner and the scout sees you. They spawn about min after that. If the raid is in combat w/ trash mobs on the way to Akil'zon and 1 person is still back where the adds spawn and is not in combat and they aggro the adds then leave combat, whether it be via, vanish, FD, or death, those adds will count it as a wipe and despawn and will stop the spawning of further adds.
