atm the EU realms are down to apply the 2.3.3 patch so I use the free time to post some of my dirty secrets ^^
This is how to solo kill Baron Rivendare in Stratholm or some may call it 'mountfarming' whatever ...
U need:
-a char that is able to kill him solo, as mage I think u should at least be ssc/tk equipped (1100Spelldmg)
-awwe's positioning hack
I am deep-Frostmage with 2x T6, ~1180Spelldmg, ~160hit and i can killed the Baron in ~90% of all trys.
some important notes:
-as mage u MUST equip 2 T4 items (look at the setbonus) to avoid castinterrupts! do not try to equip stamina gear... its useless, burst him down as fast as possible! Be sure all trinkets and Cooldowns are ready, don't forget ur waterelemental
-watch out for mortal strike, don't use healpots if u have the mortal strike debuff
-u can reset the instance faster when u undress your char and run into the mobs after killing the Baron
I did this around 50 times but the mount never droped. But I'm enchanter and got 3 shards per run -> good money.
