well, i thought i should contribute something, since i've been here for a while.
i know some of this is a repost, but other parts can be extremely useful for exploration+hiding+im sure you guys could think of other uses.

Shadowstep can be used to go through any obstacle, it is EXTREMELY useful for exploration. For example, the pesky invisible wall outside of Karazhan that leads to Kara Crypts? you can either:

a. Duel with a friend to enter combat, have them stand against the wall, and shadowstep behind them, effectively teleporting into the barrier (you can then just walk backwards)

b. have the same thing happen when you are trying to escape an enemy and they have a back to a wall. shadowstep+walk backwards, then they have to go around, giving you time to heal/rebuff or whatever.

c. (easiest way) target yourself! stand up against a wall, and shadowstep! instantly through the wall!

if you have any problems targeting yourself or a friendly player, you can use User's macro, as shown belo

sorry if anything was reposted, i searched and couldn't find anything directly relating to this, other than User's macro that allows neutral targeting.

i tested this on 2 different emu servers and on the EU realm Skullcrushers.

im more than happy to accept that i ****ed up and reposted, but could you tell me where? cuz i honestly searched and did not find anything that was stating the same use of this that i posted about. there were things about teleporting far, but not through walls for exploration. so i posted this.

if it is a repost, someone lock it so people don't waste there time.

yes i tried it. as of like half an hour ago it worked :S

and i checked that post, i got my quote from there. he says that you can use it in a bg to teleport far, while mine has none of the same intent.

and the hotfix prevents use of it for teleporting across maps or the world or whatever, as User's post suggests you use it for.
