Simple, it works for me all the time.

1. Enter a BG
2. Alt+F4
3. Wait till the BG ends.
4. Log in.
5. Summon Pet, No meter =]

P.S Sometimes if you dismiss, it will come back. I usually do this before I go to school. So when I get home. It will be gone.

i would say yes but there is one logical way to get rid of it: YOU DIE. cause if pets gone then your stil there. your gone? your AND your pets gone, meaning that to answer your question: NO (But make sure U dont die ^.^)
