When i first discovered this it came across as kind of common knowledge but from my searches i've yet to find a post on MMOwned about it, it's pretty much a macro that you spam for about 10s and it lags out your game, it D/c you but it doesn't actually kick you out of the game for 2-5m, hence giving you free exploring time. Works in both instances and in the world.

It's simple, make a macro and type the following into it, each on a seperate line:

/w "YOURNAME" Rofl
/w "YOURNAME" Rofl
/w "YOURNAME" Rofl
/w "YOURNAME" Rofl

Continue copy and pasting untill it's completely full, but if you end up an incomplete sentance at the end, delete that last sentance, then put this macro into your Action Bar 1 slot.

After that, create a second macro with the following:

/click ActionButton1
/click ActionButton1
/click ActionButton1
/click ActionButton1
/click ActionButton1

Apply the same rules as the first Macro.

After you have completed that, drag the Second macro to any free bar slot, and spam it for around 10s. Congratulations, you now have a few minutes of non agroable mob exploration. My guild isn't quite up to BT yet, so i had some fun with this in there, but as i stated, it works anywhere, allowing you to walk through instance portals etc.

Try this out now, have you tested with zoning in after you're "bugged" ?

edit: Doesn't seem to work so far, i keep hitting it for 10 secs, and I get d/c'd, it does lag the crap outta the comp though for those 10secs lol,I might try for like 8 seconds or something.

I can assure you it works, try taking out a few /w "YOURNAME" Rofl's and /click ActionButton1's.

Not enough and nothing will happen, to much and you will just instantly DC, there is a sweet spot, could be because majority of my toons have smaller names so it requires more of the /w "YOURNAME"'s etc.

umm, i tried for about 45 mins tinkering with this macro, but no luck, i get to the point where i have no lagg then instant D/c next tinker. my name is 3 letters long, could that be a problem?

This is just a quit silly way to play wow on your local machine. If you want to do that, just install a private server and explore.

I have absolutely no idea why it isn't working for you guys... Worked for both me and some friends who tested it. Maybe Hotfixed? I'll test it again tomorrow.

All the spam might simply be slowing your internet down to the point that the server's disconnect message gets through really slowly. What's your internet connection like?
