I searched, but i couldn't find anything simular to this

when you are in an area where you have to kill fx a named mob, log into an alt, and invite someone to group and give him leader. Exit wow with alt + f4 and log in on your main. Ask the guy from before to invite you to the group and give you leader, now you can kick him from the group.
Now you will be in group with you alt which is showed as disconnected.
Now you can run around using /target to find the named mob, and because your in group with your alt you can now put a raid mark on it. This way you can easily detect the mob, even through walls and hills.

That's an interesting idea. Why not just stay in the group w/ the random guy who was helping you anwyway?

Why do you need an alt to run around and /target the named mob? What's the point of putting a raid marker on it? Can't you just run around on your main and /target the named mob yourself?

I thought of this because I often get annoyed when leveling alt. In areas like fx Stranglethorn that has a lot of hills, the mob can be close enough to get targetted with /target, but still take a while and be quite annoying to look beyond every hill, tree or rock. When you put a mark on it, you can see the mark through everything.

well sure, if you find someone who doesn't mind staying in your group then you might aswell do that, this is just a way where you can ask for 1 min of a persons time, and then you dont have to worry about it the rest of the day.

Why do you need an alt to run around and /target the named mob? What's the point of putting a raid marker on it? Can't you just run around on your main and /target the named mob yourself?

The idea wasn't to have an alt running around looking for a named mob for your main to kill. It's just a way where you with the use of 2 characters regardless main or alt, can group up with your self with only 1 account, with the purpose of being able to use marks.

Of cause if you use mindvision, hunter tracking or tracking potions, this is pretty useless

just invite a friend to a group and it will still work

2. Go advanced
3. makes sure 'Delete Message' is bulleted and give the reason why ;p
