Checked other similar threads, couldn't find. This has likely been posted before, but I found it by chance.
Get/Make a macro program with AutoIt, AutoMouse, whatever you like, as long as it can spam a button in regular intervals.


Find a humanoid, equip the type of weapon you wish to train, then assign the button you spam to Sap.

Your weapon skill will now increase at the same rate as if you'd hit the mob normally.



Here I'm sapping nagas at Coilskar Cistern at Shadowmoon Valley, works really great since they don't patrol and just sit there.
Offtopic: These guys are great for botting, but you need an epic toon. They need to be killed FAST and they're lvl70.

I can't make it, since you use 3rd party programs, I'm using Auto Mouse and you can't make executables for it.

Been sapping a humanoid for like 5 min now and not even 1 increase and I got 287 skill >.<

It does, did it few hours ago on live EU servers.
Keep in mind that it does take very long to increase weapon skill, thus I use a macro program.

When i first made my drakefist hammer a significant portion of my mace skill gains came from sapping mechanar mobs with my [Truncheon] lol

this works, but while sap has no cooldown its still limited by your energy, when u miss u dont expend as much but when ur skill gets to where ur saps are landing regularly the rate slows down a lot. i still found pounding on the bugged quest mobs in blasted lands worked better.

This is fast, but still the quickest way is to get a really really crappy grey item of what you want to level, and just pound on the mobs outside SL. You'll never kill them or pull aggro off the guards, you just gotta switch to a new target every min or so when the guards kill one.

why not just attack the invincible mobs in blasted lands?

I know this dosent have anything to do with the macro thing but i found a pretty cool glitch to raise my wepon skill super fast (although i have no idea how to do it again =/ )
