Getting a mana break in mechanar

The packs right before the last boss in mechanar will keep spawning and not get you out of combat, this could cause mana problems for the healers. We used a priest to MC one of the mobs that spawn, if you kill the others and let the MC-ed mob MC-ed, you will leave combat and will be able to drink.
I have not tried if the MC-ing priest could drink, but I could at my shaman.

So basically:
-MC one of the mobs
-Finish off the other ones of the pack
-Leave combat
-Start drinking
-Nuke the last mob and continue killing the packs

This works with any pack as long as they and MC-able.

My group for heroic mech tried this once. Everyone died but the healer so he hopped on the elevator..he was still in combat, and the mobs got stuck in a wall some where. It made things much more difficult, as they would shoot lightening and such at the people trying to get back in and we were unable to kill them after that.

We always just run to the elevator when someone needs a mana break( We do regular runs ea. day ) ?? Never, i mean NEVER, had a bug... Works fine..
As for resting in between waves,
i've been in alot of pugs and it aint always possible cause of so many nobs.. may just be my server ofc. who knows..

this happened to me and we wiped, when we walked back to go up the lift the mobs were stuck in the walls hitting us from no where and 1 shotting us. so we had to reset and start again
