1. Find an area with mobs semi-close together that are in your skill-up range (like your skinning level / 5 - 5)
2. Kill 5 or 6 mobs in some sort of a circular or oval formation. Loot and skin these mobs as you go but don't take the leather or hides, or whatever you happen to skin. Just move on to the next one.
3. When you get to the end of the circle, go back to the first mob and use the Skinning ability on it.
4. Continue on to the next mob
5. Repeat step 4 until they are green to you
6. Repeat at a location with higher level mobs
