For those of you who've heard the recent complains (cough alliance cough, babies) about Horde winning Alterac Valley in under 8 minutes.. well this is how it's done.. it requires taking advantage of the terrain to perform.
First find area in Figure 1a, location can be found in Figure 1b

Now.. make sure you are up as far as you can go, then mount and turn until you can see this area. [img]http://upload.*****************/thumbs/40164-av-step-3.jpg[/img]
Start your run, and take a mighty leap across and try to land as close to the top of the cliff as possible ... keep running and turn to face the ledge ... if you did it right you'll be on solid ground. [img]http://upload.*****************/thumbs/50685-av-step-4.jpg[/img]
Now, turn left and run up the hillside, you can now see "outside" Alterac Valley .. you can make it down safely with any sort of slowfall mechanism. [img]http://upload.*****************/thumbs/90067-av-step-5.jpg[/img]
Using this method, you can go up and tag & kill Vandaar in under 8 minutes! Requires some minor kiting, but nothing else! You bypass ALL towers/gy's, which leaves Vandaar & 4 Marshall's to deal with.. you pull Vandaar solo away from his buddies (see screenshot) and congrats, you've just gotten an AV victory in under ten minutes.. amazing! This is nothing against Horde, but how come all the exploits and workarounds are on their side and almost never Alliance. I mean do horde players go out of their way to cheat or what? Just my opinion and +rep for finding it out regardless. I have just been wondering that for awhile now. |

my problem is how to get UP to vanndar? i am on the white ground but i cannot manage to get to vanndar because the terrain is too high to climb |

on my realmpool horde is to silly . the all dismount at balinda and then allies block us. |

Im sure tiana was speaking in jest...five minutes...my average AV lasts 19 minutes (With Alliance winning AV at least.....), and my shortest was with my guild, an org AV, 6min and 32 seconds  |
