This maybe only works in UC as thats the only city I know where you can mount at the bank. Anyhow if you mount up and then put your mount in the bank, you wont dismount. You'll keep the mount until you dismount it.

probably because in uc there is no house you need to walk into. Then you wont dis mount because there is no house. Sry for my english :P

Confirmed - Darnassus.

Here is a bit of of an explanation.

Set the mount to a action bar.
open up the bank.
right click the icon in the action bar.
while mounting right click the mount in your bag so it goes in the bank. close your bank and your good.

Also if you're already mounted, you can use some of the holiday holly and then put your mount in the bank. Because you're no longer technically mounted on your original mount, it doesn't dismount you.
