If you let the mob evade, you're stupid. good point though, I can see how wasting vanishing powder could be a huge deal, seeing as how it stacks up to 20 and costs <15c.

Any rogue who doesn't use cooldowns while grinding or questing either doesn't know how to maximize their xp/hr, or is afraid of getting killed in PvP because they can't play without cooldowns. this is common sense and really should not have been posted here.

I never said to do this in the middle of battle, you should be able to get 5 combo points quickly and not much hp taken off teh mob if its tough. THEN you vanish and let ur hp/energy regen and even if teh mob is at full hp you will have better dps than if you hadn't done this. Also vanish regents dont cost much at all, so i dont know how that could be a problem.

Yeah, the vanish has a nasty cooldown, but here's how I take harder guys on:

Stealth in, Cheap Shot, Slice n Dice, SS, SS, SS, SS, SS, Evis (and if they still have a lot of life left), vanish, Cheap Shot, Slice n Dice, SS, SS, SS, SS, SS, Evis.

I'm not knocking the OP, and I'm sure that any combat rogue knows this already.

This can be used on hard mobs, such as elites for group quests, to get a head start on damage.

2. Run away till it leashes.

I just tried that, the combo points disapear when you run away.

This method does work i dont know what some of you are talkkking about ... i have been doin it for a while now i have a rogue as my main .... and i have tryed it after i saw this pst to make sure.. all the combo points stay on the mob after you vanish..
