I'm not exactly sure as to whether or not this works on all elevators, but...

If you aggro a mob and kite it all the way to an elevator, once you get to the top and hop off, its path will glitch and it will become stuck in place.
If you try to hit the mob, it will simply "evade" and stay in place.
Imagine kiting giant world elite mobs onto the elevators... hilarity ensues ;]

I stumbled upon this purely by accident while leveling in Netherstorm. However, I attempted to re-enact this many times, and almost every time was able to achieve the same results.

The best part about it is the fact that, after I resumed leveling for two more hours, I ran back to town and the mobs were still bugged out on the elevator.

We can assume that this works for all elevators.
It is a SERVER-SIDE BUG. Everybody can see it.

Nice. But im pretty sure that you cant kite world bosses around forever. I think they now have a certain range.

Can't try them this week because im saved to SSC and cleared the mobs close to it

If it's possible to gain weapon skill on an evading mob...

That's a very interesting idea, although I'm not entirely sure it would work

I was in group to heroic mech but at last boss at the elevator we bugged out one of those robots by pull it and all take the elevator downstairs then we could securely bypass that mob. ( You can add this to the list too if you want)

It's quite funny that you posted this as I tried this out yesterday night.
Was quite bored.

You can confirm the Shattrath elevators btw. Took some feathers to get them all there from Barrier Hills but it was fun ^^

you can also bug hydross in ssc where he will ride the small elevator up and down some people can see him some cant but all will stay in combat

No screenies, but confirmed for the TB elevator as well. This actually happened to me the other day.
