As a warlock, you can summon an infernal then put your pet on Stay and wall climb somewhere he cant reach you. Then you can dismiss the infernal and he will either stand there evade bugged or randomly walk around and engage combat with people or guards.
In stormwind i usually summon the infernal in the auction house, and then have him stay as I wall climb to the second floor.

Then i dismiss the Infernal =)
