Arcane Mage Clearcasting trick.

Aye so, ain't quite an exploit, more as a trick that i'm using.

(Mages get the Clearcasting talent from the Arcane talent tree.)

Requirements,

level 35+ Mage * Duh *
30% + Critchance while Clearcasting is on. ( get this from the Arcane talent tree after Clearcasting. )

So let's say yer casting Fireball, when the cast is completed quickly start to cast Arcane missiles.
Why?

When the fireball hits, there's a slight chance ( 10% =F ) to gain Clearcasting buff,
Which gives ya +30% crit chance with the talent.

Normally when casting in clearcasting state, it affects only the spell that ya cast _after / While_ in clearcasting.

BUT! ( omg here it comes )

if you gain clearcasting _after / while_ casting Arcane missiles, this will give you 30%+ crit chance on the current cast, and the clearcasting buff won't go away, so ye can use it on the next spell.

Usefull? yes.
Posted before? Maybe.
Flameable? as much as gasoline is.

Common Knowledge tbh, plus it doesn't always proc so its not much of a trick unless it mainly works all of the time, its more of a "God please let me have luck trick"

Well... maybe not common knowledge but being that deep into arcane and arcane misslels after each fireball is a great idea... mana vise

Well, something that actually was useful was the old combustion trick where if u activated the old combustion (100% crit) you could f.eks cast a fireball then right after cast fire blast and crit with both, this can also work now as long as you have enough x% from the combustion so u get at least 100% crit :P

i've been working on a macro, but i can't figure out how to detect the clearcasting buff. basically, it will be my fireball and scorch keys, but if clearcasting were to proc, then it would automatically cast arc missiles. i gave up on that a long time ago though.
