This has not only saved me a bunch of gold by avoiding buying overpriced materials on the AH, it has also made it so that I don't have to be so frugal with my lure attachment. Just a small little exploit in snagging limited supply items from the zep vendors.

Avid outlands fishers know that your best friend is the Aquadynamic Fish Attractors (Mr. Pincy! Must get!).
Option 1. They are sold in limited supply from fishing vendors but actually getting your paws on them that way can be slightly difficult.

Option 2 is getting your friendly neighborhood engineering to craft them for you, the materials are course blasting powder, bronze bars and nightcrawlers. On established servers these are very easy to snag off the Auction house however on my poor little neglected realm, getting your hands on course stone without a miner can be slightly difficult, unless you want to fork out 5g for a stack.

Since patch 2.3, the nifty little vending machines on the Zepplins have solved my issues. I can only assume that the same materials are available for the alliance, don't flame if they are not. On the vending machines, in limited supply are course blasting powder, exactly what the engineers need to craft the AFA.

The glory of this all is...
When you ride the Zepplin and it zones, the limited supply course blasting powder restocks. Simply ride the zep back and forth, snagging the blasting powder and collect all you need to craft your lures quickly and easily.

As far as I know, the Zeppelins are for Horde.. Not Ally's. Or I didn't really get the formulation of you sentence.

Anyways, good tip... But since this is a good bug, I expect Blizz to fix it :P

i am an engineer and i wanted to buy alot of this powder, but i got bored fast riding around on the zep... so i built a small autoit script. obviously this is tailored to my screen (1280x1024 windowed mode) but if you change the mouse coords it should work for you too. the first click is right click on the vending machine, second is click 3 times on the "next" button, third mouse click is right click 4 times to buy all the blasting powder. The pixel search triggers during the world map loading screen, so the script knows that the vendor is now back in stock. i could have set up a small interface to use variables for the coords and have the user position the mouse over the different buttons, but i am very new to autoit and also going to sleep. if u know anything about autoit you should be able to figure it out. i used it to buy over 200 powders in about an hour.
