Strategy AV towers bugged of rogue

ok so this is what u need to do, have done it on iceblood tower a few times today, run up not stealthed jump up on barrels, cap the tower. jump up on the shield with the 2 spears and vanish. if the mobs only had u targeted and no one else is near or in tower they will "vanish" dunno if its an exploit, got no screens so "it didnt happn" try it out for ur self and see what u think

remember only u at tower and only u targeted from mobs

I believed that when you capped the towers the bowmen dissapeared anyways?

Sorry forgot to say that its from alliance faction and the tower is the horde tower next to galv.

nah once you cap a taower they only dissapear
.1 u kill them

This "exploit" has always been true. When you cap the tower as a rogue and then vanish, bowmen all vanish if they arn't in combat. So if you are the only oen in range, they all dissapear.

Have always done this to solo the 2 horde base towers quick and easy.

Omg leecher speaking <--

I thought that it was common knowledge that the bowmen despawn IF:
- You destroy a tower
- You cap a tower when the bowmen are NOT in combat

The last option is only for rogues and druids, basically you stealth in and cap the flag without aggroing, the bowmen will despawn. (I always do this with both DB towers, I rush to them and cap them before my teammates arrive)

This is not a bug.. or at least, it has been ingame for long.

This happens if you tag the tower without THE ARCHERS HAS AGGRO.

Meaning, the archers whom are in combat because of close enemies will not dissapear. Those who are not in combat will dissapear if you tag the tower without them being in combat.

It can be done to the two dun balder towers, the north tower is slim job, just stand on the north side of the stonepillar holding the roof and tag the flag from there.

The south tower in dunbalder is a little more tricky. You have to sap the first archer you meet when you go up the last stairs inside the bunker (The archer standing the most SOUTH of them all), sap that one and then you go stand on the southside of the stonepillar holding the roof at the flag, hence the only one in your line of sight is the sapped one (whom will not aggro because of sap).

And this way you can tag both towers and **** up the archers leaving the bridge to be nothing more than a bridge =)

It's not pointless at all. They key to causing the archers to despawn is for whoever they have targeted to get out of combat. If nobody is target and you flip the flag to neutral they will simply despawn. As an Alliance rogue for instance, I go into FW Keep. With MoD 5 I can sneak past the archers in West Tower which is the hardest and flip the flag causing the archers to despawn. I then restealth and go into East Tower and at top of walkway go left to get inside (because no archers spawn on that side) and flip it to despawn them. Now my team can come into base unharassed. *IF* people are around you can always get the ones aggro'd to run toward the RH and turn right on the frozen river in front of it and run to the backside of Drek's room to get out of combat as well.

Horde it's easier imo as you can sneak into DB North and flip flag from corner of the wall behind it out of archer shot and then vanish or run toward the druids to get out of combat. The DB South bunker you can flip same way and jump off back running over behind the Ram Rider kennel to break combat.

It was more fun pre-2.3 sneaking into say Tower Point, sapping Commander Phillip, flipping the flag and running off laughing as the horde wonder how you did it.
