Strategy Kill your local farmer

I searched and didn't find anything related to this other than the one about killing botters in Skald by having them aggro while AoEing - this is fairly different.

I went to get some Runecloth from WPL at one of the cauldron areas, only to find there was a level 60 dwarf hunter aggroing 2-3 at a time and owning them without losing any health. But when I looked a bit more carefully at how his bot worked I realized that it automatically attacked anything that wasn't tagged, whether he was in combat or not. I mounted and pulled everything in a 40 yard radius over to him and he started aggroing them all. He was dead within minutes and I had the whole spot free to myself since it took him a fair bit to run back.

Now, I realize this mentions WPL and the cauldrons but I'm only guessing it could work with any other cloth farmer or unintellegent bot if you observe how it works for about 3-4 kills.

Not sure if this is the wrong section or not but it helps clear the area of annoying botters in a heartbeat if you can counter their bot's "intelligence" and should be helpful for anyone looking.

---
Just wanted to clarify that I DID NOT just come up with this idea after reading the post about killing botters in Skald even though it is fairly similar. This actually happened to me, and thought I would share it incase someone didn't read the other post since it was in the General section. This is also a bit less regionalized as far as I can tell.

Wrong section? Go ahead, tell me.
Repost (although I searched and found nothing)? Go ahead, be rude.
Useless? Go ahead, flame me.
Doesn't work for you in specific? Okay, request a delete.

I don't mind really - I just wanted to get this info out there for anyone who previously got frustrated at bots aimlessly (like me).

Re: Kill your local farmer

This seems pretty nice if you're wanting to farm somewhere where theres buts but I wouldn't advise botting there after you've done it (The person might see you and report you for botting because you killed their bot and stole their spot) Also many bots can rez but if they have a crappy bot like the one you described I guess it would work.

Re: Kill your local farmer

True, guess I should have mentioned that before people came back whining about me getting them banned (gads..). But yeah, I meant legit people who are at the keyboard and are actually using it to get their moneylewts should go for this. It's also fun to watch botters die to a massive horde of mobs anyways, even if you don't plan on farming there.

Re: Kill your local farmer

Well, yeah, I did intend to add a sort of comic notion to it since it's such a bland topic. But for everyone who came here wanting to kill their local farmer:

Grab a kitchen knife, put some flat-bottomed shoes on, go kill him in the middle of the night, burn the shoes back home, destroy the knife, ????????, profit.

<3 Phase much for pulling me out of the lazy leecher group. All my base are belong to you.

Re: Kill your local farmer

I used to do something similar against water elemental bots in Felwood when I needed essence of water. There was always a few horde bots (and an occasional alliance bot) around and I used to spam /duel on them when I had pvp on. Their pet would then start attacking me turning their pvp on then I would own them since their bot wasn't made for pvp.

The bot would keep coming back but since it was pvp enabled it was easily dispatched again.

Re: Kill your local farmer

ive seen a rogue doing that like 2 years back lol, but funny thing about rogue, that it was making bandages and eating food every now and then... wonder if it worked by checking total health value or wat so ever.
