Stacking hunters marks the how and why - 10-04-2007

for reminding me this was possible, but they haven't figured out the exact trick.

Steps to reproduce 100% of the time are as follows.

1) have at least 2 hunters (or as many as 6) with different number of point in imp hunters mark.

2) have the hunter with the lowest rank apply the mark

3) have any hunter ranged attack once to start the built in upscaling of the mark

4) have the hunter with the next higher number of talents apply their mark

5) repeat 3 and 4 until all marks are on

----------
Projected gains based on 6 hunters with 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 points in imp HM
500% more ranged attack power from hunters marks
200% more melee attack power from hunters marks

Re: Stacking hunters marks the how and why - 10-04-2007

eleventy billion...

technically the ramifications are close to that as each can max to 440, and will with that many hunters shooting and that is 440(max AP from hunters mark for ranged) *6(the max possible amount of hunters marks) = 2640 extra AP considering i can easily break 3k buffed with trinket close to 6k AP = pewpew dead yo...

unfortunately the max amount of hunters you ever see in a raid these days due to poor itemization and lack of a role besides DPS and misdirection is about 3 so although this still benefits a lot it wont see the same attention unless we explain to raid leaders to force other hunters to spec accordingly to us along with actually taking more than a few...though it will be very tempting when we hold 1500 dps while afk and 3000 when we go all out

Hehe "Lack of role apart from DPS and misdirection"... Like saying a Holy Pally has a lack of role apart from Healing and buffing...

You already can u know...Well. Not exactly AFK but .. bind this macro to a button:

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
/castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show()

Spam the button while watching TV or something. gz 1k+ dps. :P

ya i know the macro belive me, but what i mean by lack of raid utility im sure many will agree as our silence does not work on most mobs, freezing trap is only temp CC so we are mainly DPS, and the diff between us and pallys is you need thier heals and buffs and they are the best at focus healing while most raids would rather take a mage over a hunter as they can CC, DPS better, and silence

Doesn't work. You can have multiple mark debuffs on the target, but you only gain the RAP from one mark. Tested in the Nagrand arena with the Fine Light Crossbow (constantly 29 dmg).
