I've only done this on the Horde side.. with an Undead... but i had someone put the pirate costume on me (not from the candy) then i would drink Nogginfogger Elixirs till i became a skelly. Then i would cancel my skelly by right clicking the image on the right hand corner and.... after a few trys i got a Goblin!
I have also turned into a pirate gnome with this.

... Last year I simply got into a goblin by just using one of those random costume items.. This isnt really something that new or great, its easy to get if you're lucky with the trick or treating..
Well... this isnt a random lucky trick or treat thing. this is a way to do it without having to wait for an hour so u can just keep failing on the item, again and again and again. It isnt something great but it definitely is a new way to go about it... think b 4 u talk.
If you're a warrior you can change stances (If you already have pirate costume, such as a gnome goblin) and eventually you'll change into a goblin, human, or a different looking gnome, this goes with rogue's stealth too.
