Opera Event Exploit

Hokay, This is my first thread, so here goes.

I'm sharing a little exploit we found a few weeks back, the only issue, is that you need to get 'Big Bad Wolf" in the opera event, (im not sure if it would work for any of the others)

As we all know, when the event begins, Someone will be turned into little red riding hood, and the wolf will give chase, Unfortunatly for us, one of our slack as hell rogues was busy running to the event when someone started it, so we pile in, confident that we can 9man it, and, sure enough, the rogue wandering around kara got turned into 'lil red, and the wolf came for him, He vanished, when the wolf got near, and, so did the wolf..

Then the guy who started the event reset, and when we clicked on him, we had 2 options, the first was for red riding hood again, and the second, was for the wizard of oz event. So we did the wizard of oz event, smashed it, and he reset AGAIN. needless to say we farmed that for half a day...
SO:

for the TLR ; Start opera event with a rogue a fair away from stage, when he becomes red riding hood vanish, talk to npc and smash.

Just to clarafy, Everytime we downed the crone, and sorted out the loot, the NPC starter for the event still had both options to start the event`s again, Hence us "farming" crone till our bags were full of void crystals

hehe, Well, if we get the wolf tommorow ill screenshot/fraps or something, the only issue is, you need to have a rogue out of the room and away when you start the event, So it may be a little difficult for some of the less well prepared guilds to 9man it

When you talk to the NPC you never get to choose which event you're going to. It doesn't say that it's the Riding hood, even if it is. You don't know which event it is until he starts talking about the story on stage.

If you do this though and beat the event, does it count as having completed it?

heheh obviously you haven't wiped on opera before ^_~,
but basically, if all goes well, you get 2 options from the NPC guy, ill do my best to get screenies.

No, The door opened and the "starting NPC" went back to his origional position, and clicking on him again gave the 2 options.

The only other way i can suggest, is try it out on a private server or something

And the chances you get the Red Riding Hood event is like 33%? And the chance to get the one rogue out of 10 people is 10%, that is really unstable. I mean you can try and try and try over and over again for a long time until that one rogue gets the red riding hood job.

Dunno if total raid cost for reppairs (due to MT getting hit, someone dying, e.g. while trying to get that rogue to become the red riding hood) would be what, like ~200 gold for the whole raid? And how much is 2 void shards worth, like 100 gold?

Not sure how worth this is, guess void shards sell price and reppair costs for the raid is what decides that.

How many bags do you know of that are 2 slot?

Still, 1 run 2 shards but 4-5 wipes until the rogue got the red riding hood.
Or 20 runs 2 bags of chards and 40 wipes, you do the math. Then repair costs would rise too and even if you had 100 shards the number of wipes wouldn't make it worth those 100 shards if you loose money.

Wiping might seem silly but if you got to wait until the rogue gets the riding hood and if it doesn't happen, you have to wipe on purpose if you loose all dps and healers go oom, or other kind of troubles.

I think waht hes saying they only had to get the glich up once, meaningn that the rogue only had to become red riding hood once, and ye, if u stuff 4 rogues in the raid just to increase teh chance, and sawp them when the bug is up that would work right? Or did you have to get the bug thing working every time yo wanted to kill crone?

I don't quite understand this... The guy went after rogue, rogue vanish, and you kill him once he comes back (thus getting his loot, and resetting him since rogue vanished)?

ohhhhhkay,

1) if you bug it the first time, It STAYS BUGGED, so you can click on the option and start the event over and over till you get bored, or your fingers bleed. so you can do whatever the hell you want, bring in more people etc etc,

2) If the rogue (or hunter i assume) basically anyone with an aggro dump, is far enough away, and is turned into the red riding hood, and drops aggro when the wolf is on its way to them, the event will bug, and reset, (see 1^_~)

side note; If you cant 9 man this event, theres something wrong.
The chances of you getting the red riding hood event i assume are the same as getting any other, so just pot luck. Ill try to get screenies if we get said event tommorow.

Just tell everyone to be naked untill the right situation pops up? then you dont have to worry about repair cost
